What techniques does he use, for the alien type sound etc. I've been playing for almost 2 years starting march, i feel like i should know this lol. His style is my favorite and i really want to play like him.

The thing is that he uses a ton of effect and his guitar are custom made with different mounted element to extend his effect at a hands reach that most of normal guitar player won't have.

 

So most of his sound doesn't really come from the way he play on his guitar but mostly the effect he adds on top of it. Lots of octave and flanger a bit of feedback for long heavy sustain, enough compression/distortion to make every single note stand out easily. All of this makes his guitar sounds alienish while all he does is mostly tremolo picking over single note with some bends here and there and sometimes a full tapping solo because he can in some very repetitive pattern because it's easier to remember.
