Good old Hendrix. I've tried this another couple times and I only get a couple tenths of a percent improvement each time. One of those songs that just feels completely out of my league right now, though I'm still pretty happy with how I can get some of these licks sounding.

New Foo song to me. Normally I dig Dave Grohl, but this song just isn't very fun or interesting for me. Feels too easy for Advanced, too - the La Sera song comes to mind as something that was intermediate but harder than this. I guess I'm gonna have to play it a lot if I want to take my Adv lead crown back from @@albatross213 !

Made a little bit of improvement. Damn these barre chords kill my wrist. I don't know if it's a strength thing, an endurance thing, or if I've done damage to my wrist when I used to bowl but they give me a lot of trouble and halfway through the song it feels like my entire wrist area is locking up.

@@Viltaire we all felt like that with barre chords.  I don't know what it is, but it gets a lot easier with time.  Practice it outside of Rocksmith and don't rush it.

I couldn't post on week 109 on time, so this week I'll  post my first attempts.

MC bass:

Da Capo bass: Pretty fun bassline. Forget exactly what I missed.

Tried in LaS but kept getting downleveled somewhere. Even on a 94% accuracy run. Stupid DD.

Solo is still a lil bit too fast, and I keep on forgetting that last little solo.

Those arpeggios always makes me confused. They don't look that complicated, but I'm always making many mistakes.

I can do so much better, there are so many hits on the E, A and D strings during those straight runs on the 1st, 3rd, 8th and 10th  frets that I'm hitting but not accurately enough, get one perfect in every 10 notes or so on those parts... not sure if there is a subtle sync issue or if there is a very slight rhythm pattern... I personally would like a "bewm budum bewm budum bewm budum bewm budum" rhythm as opposed to the "buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh" I'm reading :( but that's just me. :)

Working on Hell is for Children rhythm: First a sightread, then some practice. Then one run I forgot to screenshot (~95%), then this:

First couple of verses were tricky on the sightread but quite easy after some practice. They're pretty repetitive and slow.

 

From when the song picks up onward: Most of it's not too hard, but it's one of those things where you're in the power chord position for a really long time, so it's pretty tiring. I also missed a good portion of the slides in this section. I think because between the combination of resuming the chord position and the slide I often accidentally mute a string somewhere. I also suck at the pedal point stuff near the end. Worked on it in RR a bit but started having trouble around 85% speed, and was expecting slow going for mastering it, so I figured my time would be better spent elsewhere. At the moment I'd probably do better off just playing the high notes and ignoring the rest.

Updates, really struggling to squeeze every % i can out of these.

 

Think theres a slight delay in the emulated bass because if i play notes a fraction early on Bruno mars i get "perfect" instead of "good" maybe i should just buy a bass guitar!

It has been a busy week, so I haven't played in a couple of days or even read any of the recent posts (sorry).  I managed to steal an hour to play and worked on Zebra on bass.  I'm up to 98.5%.  I might not have time to improve upon this or to try the Hendrix tune
