No. 1. "I quite like Sylosis, but I'm enjoying Megadeth at the moment", missis sumner.

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=559615642well I made several attempts and even learned how to use a basic plectrum technique, I managed to do the mad sweep picky bit in the middle, though not in this particular run but this was my best accuracy so far... note recognition was an issue towards the end but I think that was down to the damn song sucking all the energy out of my 9V's so they're now on charge to get ready for the new week... plus RS crashed before I could try one more attempt, so I think someone's trying to tell me something... something like "you're beginning to like Sylosis... what the hell is wrong with you?" ;)

And me that came back to advance because i thought masterclass was a bit too much for me :(

It's really cool that you did enjoyed Sylosis. Normally I hate growling, but they have too fun guitars and suddenly growling is not a problem. Besides it's fun to say "Hey, I'm fan of this cute Metric vocals and those bat-heavy Sylosis guitars". World is weird.

That's not that hard. Only that part after 12-15 fret section was throwing me off. I would say 6 on difficulty. Rhythm is a different story :o (8)

uh, 2nd attemp, first I got my 3rd X at the end.

Thought I'm dying by playing this... but lot of space to improve. It's not very complicated or very tricky but very strenght-sapping with all those 3 string power chords during the whole song,so dif 9 is suitable here

In spite of being from their golden age, I've never heard this Megadeth song until now. Kind of easy, the only thing I really need to work on are those really quick melodic fills. Didn't groove on it, really. Maybe I'll like it better after more plays.

This one I know! One of my favourite Muse songs. Surprisingly difficult for a beginner song, with some strange chord shapes when you're playing the synthy bits. Lots for me to clean up next playthrough.

And one of my favourite Primus songs, too! This is a GH2 throwback for me. Very easy for an MC song, but I only get to say that because I'm a lead player. Have fun trying to emulate Les Claypool, MC bassists! Don't forget to sing along!

 

I'll definitely be tuning down for recording a Finntroll video later. Even after almost a decade of metal shows, Trollhammeren remains the most intense moshpit I have ever participated in.

lead is rhytm and rhythm is rhythm too, very similar, almost identical.

Good exercise in speed and stamina. Pity I'm shite at both of them  :)

Some guitar stuff:

 

Beg Lead: Never very fast so with a little bit of practice I could do a lot better (indeed, when I tried out rhythm the chorus went much better), but the chords are tricky and the chorus has a lot of string switching and skipping (which is still one of the things I suck at when picking).

 

For the bass, this is definitely not a 2. It has fast slap bass! Double pops! The non-chorus parts are trivial, but also don't have many notes.

 

Adv Lead:

http://i.imgur.com/qTPhqBf.jpgI agree with @@Gamut that this isn't especially hard except for the riff at the end of the chorus (under the singing of "Countdown to Extinction"). However, that riff is at the end of the chorus, which means you have to wait through the first 14 measures of the chorus if you want to practice it. Which is excruciating if you want to first practice it slowly. My recommendations to @@Nacholede (I think I saw you post elsewhere saying your computer is out of action? :()

 

1) Add a section for that riff at the end of the chorus. It can only be one time since it doesn't change, but if you don't have the hardest part(s) of the song readily accessible in game at least once, it greatly reduces the usefulness of Rocksmith for learning a song.

 

2) I also played the bass, and there are some bad bits of fretboard logic in the intro and in the end of chorus riff. I used CDLC2Tab and modified the bass part here if you want to take a look at it.

 

3) From what I saw, it looked like the guitar parts at the end of the chorus could be played easier. What's in this tab for "Lead Guitar L" looks like about how I'd choose to play it. It also moves the main chorus riff to be based off of the high e string, which probably also makes sense as it gets rid of some awkward shifts and shouldn't make the riff any harder to play.

How does Muse's Undisclosed Desires get rated as a beginner song when there are slaps and pops in it?  Sure, the notes can simply be plucked and still register, but that would be cheating.

 

My cheating score is 97%.  I'll try it with the slaps and pops later in the week.

First Megadeth song that I've EVER listened to .... And I really liked it!!

 

I'm missing a couple of notes that just wont co-operate with my fingers!
