After another hour in RR, the suckage of my wankery on Beastly has decreased from "sub par" to "decent".  And RS is being very forgiving in ignoring all of my missed notes and wrong notes.  I feel like I deserve half the score that I'm given.

Anyone else having issues with note detection on the intro riff to Empyreal? Even tried not palm muting and it didn't want to work for me most the time

EDIT: Had a go in score attack. Two random missed notes caused me a strike.

I mentioned this in my post. I think it's related to the sustain notes on the first chord, and I was able to get OK note detection by strumming it again late in the sustain. Started to suspect something was off when I was getting strikes on that riff...

Nice progress on this. A big piece of the solos is not losing your fret hand position, as it's tough to keep track of entirely because of the number of shifts require for some of the things that maintain the same handshape, a lot of it takes place in a relatively unfamiliar region of the fretboard, and there are slides all over the place.

 

Momentarily I'll be doing another update (1.2), mostly putting in the actual fret hand positions for the parts where a hand shape is maintained for a while. I'll edit when it's done.

the guitar tab isn't very accurate with chords, some missing bass pedal notes and sometimes with strumming. in the verses we are forced to play Em-G-D. I hear Em-C/E-D/F# (G sounds a bit off if you hear the original guitar behind your signal). Could be more interesting to play, but what the hell, no hard feelings

And that's pretty close to what I can master now. Thanks to that streak fillers, preventing crosses.

Sylosis is just like White Zombie. Heavy like shit and E standard. That's what I like.
