November 9, 201510 yr OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1Chrome Version: 46.0.2490.80 If I use the download link at http://ignition.customsforge.com/cfsm/downloads, Chrome reports an error in the downloads footer: "setup.exe may harm your browsing experience, so Chrome has blocked it." If I use the download link embedded in the releast post on the customsforge forums (http://customsforge.com/topic/24024-customsforgesongmanager-11-released/), I get the same error - but interestingly a different filename. "CFSMSetup.exe may harm your browsing experience, so Chrome has blocked it." I've scanned this with a couple malware/antivirus apps, but neither found anything specific. Here is the associated chrome help link: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6261569?p=ib_download_blocked&hl=en&rd=1
November 9, 201510 yr We will be getting a code signing certificate in the near future that should eliminate the problem.
November 9, 201510 yr Really though, the problem is Chrome auto-flagging any executable file that isn't relatively well-known to Google. It flags EOF all the time.
November 9, 201510 yr Author Glad to hear it, thanks. I can understand your perspective - it's a hassle. Given the malware / virus / botnet epidemic, I also consider anything that helps to protect users to be a good thing. :) At this point it's just a build tool integration issue - minimizing the overhead for developers. Then again, I should admit that I'm biased because it is completely automated for me (at work at least).
