Made up a somewhat modified version of Hell Patrol. Main change is the sectioning, but I also messed with the lyrics a little, because some of them were really off (placement-wise) in the bridge, and it had vaporize instead of vaporapize. And we can't have a proper version of this song without both of Rob Halford's contributions to the English language.

I've got the main rhythm parts down pretty well, but still need some work on the harmony (I lose my place more than I should) and of course on the solo.

 

I also added an updated version to the downloads folder. Main changes are adding palm muting to the guitar parts and fixing up some minor mistakes in the tab.

Hahahahaha.... yes ... those are two completely different types of shoes for me.

 

Nailing fast powerchords (those in hell patrol are pretty slow) with fills - cake walk (happy that is so - ´tallica, maiden, slayer - all ok)

 

On the other hand.... i don´t like to RR so much and i don´t pay enough attention on finger positioning ;)

So opposite to you - coming from the more bassy side of life i suck at solos and cry on scale runs .

 

In fact the most patern - single note practice i get is when i have to deliver a solid score on bass.

And it is good.

 

Normally i would take Graveyard to the 90s but just too great speedy songs that week, and i gotta get in mood for that

I did the advanced lead to show that I do work on things out of my range in order to get better, besides it's Judas Priest so it had to be done :)

MC bass update:

http://i.imgur.com/vaj2KA3.jpgI practiced tapping some more  :D. Now to the point where at full speed I typically end up with 5 or 6 misses, which isn't too bad for the tapping section. Needed to learn to tap harder and mute the other strings a bit better than I had been doing to get there. Still had a couple of stupid misses in this run (hence the lower streak), but I obviously can't be too unhappy with this score.

 

Now, onto some guitar stuff.

Beginner lead.... so much easier than last week. Got to pull out my strat!

I've done the chromatic root-octave-fifth riff with no misses at full speed, but I wasn't anywhere near that in this attempt. Practice and luck should help with that. Solo's not trivial, but it didn't seem too bad, though I lost where my pick was in this playthrough.

Had pretty good luck with the hard riff this time around. Still not quite as clean on the chords as I should be.

A pretty good run. I'm still quite terrible at the solo (haven't really tried practicing it much yet, either), but I'm pretty damn solid on the rhythm parts and almost there on the harmony.

Here's one more run on this awesome intermediate song before I go back to E. Was pretty consistent at the riff but didn't do as well on the solo this time. :(

 

I gotta say, the drummer really makes this song. Every musician in the band is really good, but that is one quality skin smacker.

 

Time to go retune and get started on the songs that are actually my class! :D
