Ummm... That looks quite a bit different than what we are playing.

 

At least some of it's because he's tuned in drop D rather than D standard. I'm not going to do an in depth comparison between the video and what's in the tab, but except for added nuances and using different fret hand positions for some things a lot of it was pretty similar. Definitely some differences, though.

Back at work this week after a month off sucks! I haven't had much opportunity to play this week but this is my best so far.

The video of the other version might be correct, I'm sure it is, I have no reason for doubting it, but nope. I don't like it. Mainly because I've spent 30 hours committing the charted version to memory :(

I don't know if you all realized that, but since week 100th, we changed things a little bit. Previously it was always me selecting songs and starting new week, but because we hate pathology we changed that. Now every week other Organizer selects songs (still with use of random.org), and it's not always me starting the week (though I'm mostly always cappable of doing so). So now you can't blame me everyday :lol:

@@NoonyDeloony Sorry. Im a bit late found this cover. I knew, that fret positions there is very bad, and wrote it in SSL. Yesterday, i surprised and inspired your score and  began practice (in other fret positions some of parts), and found yet missed notes and a few wrong notes. So i go to youtube for details and found this cover. It is not original cover, original there, the author has made himself at the hearing  and seeing live.

@Noons - nonono, you are right... if something is wrong always blame Mortalo ;) in first place....

 

 

No, honestly - song selection is a timeconsuming thing, really a lot of work - one should not do that more than once in a months.

@@Rodman It easy avoid, bcs of all this notes in right positions. total  rate max 6,  and this way that is in chart with bad position yes, more hard not it is not clear advanced class :)

P.s. And yet we must add in rules if rate of  a song low for class, so no level up.

An example:

 beg 1- no lvl up

int 4 - no lvl up

adv 7- no lvl up

Thanks @, it is undoubtedly a nicer version and I am not one for complaining about how "correct" a tab is as I think most musicians are prone to using artistic licence to embellish and add their own personal flourishes as they see fit :) as for up levelling, I might regret saying this, but I have noticed some leaps of progress in my playing of late... So, @@Rodman, do it! :D

I take it back, just seen @motives post, I'm happy to stay in advanced until I prove myself worthy enough of MC :)

Still struggling with recognition when I re-tune. I switched to new and thicker strings just to pass for Rhythm guitar.

 

Here is my results for guitar:

 

Rythm - 92.77%

 

 

 

Lead - 92.4%

 

 

 

For Bass I survived one more week on MC. It is a very quick and long one - my poor fingers. The red "x" is from the middle section, to fast for me at full speed. The octave jumps was also tricky, but I either pulled it off, or tricked the recognition engine in Rocksmith.

 

Bass - 94.82%

 

No improvement for me.

 

Yesterday, my imbecile brain decided the advanced bass song needed to be played with fingers, even though (and I hadn't realised) I'd been using a pick all week.  I managed to equal my score, but no better, and it took quite a few goes.

 

Tonight I realised I'd played it with a pick all week, and although I only managed to equal my score, it took fewer goes...

I made a trip into space, playing The Final Frontier on it's entirety! I like this album a lot, it has some cool songs like The Man Who Would Be King and of course, When The Wild Wind Blows! (The album has 10 songs, of course, Rocksmith counted the ones i skipped to play WTWWB)

Took me forever to get up to speed on one section in the song, spent the last few days trying to get from 90% to 100% speed, only just managed it this evening and even then it was a bit of a fluke.

 

Still got a few hours in the morning though :)

Best I could do in the alloted time. I can get it better, but it would take longer than a week. I'm a bit disappointed as I felt like I had the song down fairly well minus the second part of the solo and one other part that kept messing me up that shouldn't have.

Much better! No more pesky crosses.
