Do you play the $10 Walmart special or an original played by Paul Mccartney?? We want to see em and hear the stories behind them!

This was my first guitar that I bought at a second hand store. It's very light and I like the way it feels. I use it mainly for Drop D and lower tunings. It's an Epihphone Special SG.

I am 35 years old. As such when I was in high school every guitar player and lead singer that you dreamed of being played one of these. I had to have one! I understand that over the years they are pretty much all the same but that wasn't going to do it for me. I had to have an era correct one. I hunted and hunted and finally came across this heavily used, but plays perfect '99 MIM Fender Stratocaster.

Found it on Craigslist and had the guy email me the serial number. As soon as I had it confirmed by Fender for year and such, I headed out to get it. 2 hours. I am thrilled to own it though! Totally worth the drive.

You Built a Studio! Nice gear.

I have a 2014 Studio, too, and love it, to play.  The only thing I really dislike about it is that it has the quick connect electronics.  Currently a very limited selection of pickups with this feature.  Your best bet for replacing the pickups is to gut the original electronics and replace them, which affects the long-term value of the instrument.  If you're not going to be performing live with it, the 490's in it are more than adequate, though, and I love playing mine.

Thanks :)

I'm still actually learning, but my dear mum gave me some money to get the new guitars and bass amp, I think it's all quite an investment and I'm loving every minute of it.

I do actually have a few more bits and pieces:

Gretsch Bar Stool (lovely to sit on put a leg up and play)

Zoom R8 8 track Recorder/Interface/Controller/Sampler

Old Kenwood amp with some old Wharfadale Diamond 9.0 Speakers to playback from the Zoom R8

A mates old PC that I have turned into a Music studio....

....with of course some software and books to use as a learning aid and mix and make some music:

Recording and Music software (A fair few of which I already had that came free with my video editing software, some came with gear/hardware and bought Guitar Pro 6 recently):

Rocksmith/Rocksmith 2013 with cable and DLC
    Mixcraft Pro Studio 6
    Guitar Pro 6
    Acid Music Studio 10
    Soundforge Audio Studio 10
    Cubase LE AI Elements 7
    Sonar X1 LE

Learning Books and other Learning Tools/Video's/sites:

    The Justinguitar.Com Beginner's Guitar Course (Book & 2 Cds)
    The Justinguitar.Com Beginner's Song Book v2
    The Justinguitar.Com Pop Song Book
    The Justinguitar.Com Rock Song Book
The Justinguitar.Com You Tube Videos for beginners course and song books
The Andyguitar.co.uk You Tube Videos for beginners course
The Ask any member of AVForums 360 Music Gaming Section pretty much anything

It should all last me for years to come :)

Here's my babies:

http://i.imgur.com/K6HZYkE.jpg

- Squier Telecaster, originally blue, now this sorta minty metal green. My first guitar.

- Sunsmile Les Paul. My newest addition. Always wanted a white LP, and came across this beauty for 150€. Worth every cent.

- Squier Stratocaster. My little project. Still a bit work required with the pickguard color and pickup colors

- Yamaha RBX170. Originally metallic red, now stained silvery blue. Another cheap find, only about 140€ with bag.

A new addition to my lineup:

http://i.imgur.com/f8v6pxz.jpg

Washburn Dimebag Darrel Signature Slime Green. Found this baby online for 200 EUR. My first guitar with Floyd Rose trem (and it's a bitch to tune with RS, gotta get a real tuner ASAP). Only issue is that the neck has snapped off once and had to be reglued back to place. Seems like it'll hold pretty well, though.

I play a bit of an oddity. My Grandfather left me this 65' Gibson Firebird III Transitional Model (Notice the Headstock) that is my daily player. It's a bit slow to tune but the sound is phenominal!

As far as the other two, the wife plays the Squire Jaguar Modified Bass and the Kids get to use the Samick LP knockoff. NOBODY touches my bird but me. Lol

I'd like to post some pictures as well but I'm getting a weird message saying I'm not allowed to use this pic format (jpg!) in this community. Am I doing something incorrectly?

I had the same problem, so I just uploaded to my photobucket account and used the links from there. Just clicked the 'image' icon on the top of the post window and inserted them that way.

Here's the rest (from left to right):

Schecter Custom 4, Ibanez Soundgear SR300, Warwick Corvette $$, G&L Tribute JB-2, Yamaha BB424X, 1984 Rickenbacker 4003.

Awesome collection BoojiBoy -- especially cool to see after seeing your frequent bass playthrough videos!

Only question is ... all that hardware and no 5 string?  I've got an Epi Thunderbird Pro V, and I like it a lot except for improper grounding buzz.  Does your Pro 4 do that?

Well that's exactly what I'm doing, but when I add a picture using an external URL (like Imgur), 1) the picture doesn't even appear in post while I'm writing it (all I can see is a small square, like the link was broken) and 2) I can't even post the message. When I hit 'Post' well...nothing happens. The message I'm writing just stays open...

What form of link do you use exactly in the 'Add Image' popup window? Do you just paste the URL like http://hpics.li/f049e3e or you use HTML code like <a href="http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=623910bends.jpg"><img src="http://img4.hostingpics.net/thumbs/mini_623910bends.jpg" alt="Heberger image" /></a>

Thanks for your help!!

I just click the image icon and paste the img url provided by photobucket, http://*****.com, and it works.

Not had to bother with html code, the forum sorts out what it needs.

OK I found how to make it work. So here we go :

This is a Washburn Bantam BB4. First bass I ever bought, I loved the all-black color scheme. I haven't been using it lately, ever since I got this :

Ibanez SR500. GREAT bass. The fretboard is much thinner, which helps a lot for slides and makes the playing more comfortable generally. I really love this bass, although I'm already making plans for the next one. Probably a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass.

Thanks, took me a long time to amass these babies.. I was going to buy a 5-string and tried it at my local music store. I guess my fingers are too short or something because the neck felt huge and I just got frustrated with it (I should get one and just keep at it). As for the buzzing, my TB sounded great right off the shelf and I never had an issue.

This is a new addition I got a couple of moths ago.

I guess this is some local knockoff brand, but since I got it for very cheap and as brand new I though it might be enough for my bass cravings. For now at least.
