Sorry for being MIA since the beginning of the week. Totally crazy end of the week for me, and I've been sleeping my ass off since things ended yesterday evening.

 

Anyway, here's an update for Pool. I've also added it to the download folder in the record but haven't updated the record yet. The major changes are

 

-Added arpeggios in the verse riffs on lead

-Added chord fingerings to all of the chords/arpeggios in the song

 

I haven't play-tested it yet to make sure everything ended as it should and all of the chords ended up in the chord book and what not, but hopefully these make learning the song a bit easier.

That... was really hard! I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't... that.

 

Mostly I scrambled around incoherently on this, but surprisingly, I managed to get the hang of the chorus riff on the second time around.

@@Angelina27 sorry but your pool lead score is not valid, it needs to be not leveled down.

@ Thanks...The bars need to be all purple, I must not have leveled all the way? I am a little confused though because I have noticed some scores posted from "easy" on score attack, and I assumed it had to be from the "hard" only!

There's no one thing I can really point to as being so difficult that I shouldn't be able to hit it eventually, but there are enough bends and quick chord changes that I can be pretty confident I won't be advancing this week. Which probably isn't a bad thing as it should give me more time to get used to the typical chords and more common picking patterns.

 

 

As for Pool, I got around to trying the newer version, and it looks like all the arpeggios seem to be there and all of the chords are in the chord book (and wow are there a lot of them! Did feel like I was entering fingerings for quite some time, but I guess you don't realize it until they're all there in one place). Not sure if I picked the best fingerings for all of them, but I think each chord is doable on its own and the transitions aren't too crazy with things as they are. Going to take a lot of practice for me to be able to do everything at speed, but I think most of the song will be somewhat manageable for me by the end of the week.

 

With regards to everyone's struggles on it - now you know how I feel as a beginner guitarist on practically every song  :P. But more seriously, it shows to me that you don't have some superhuman ability to contort your fretting hands or read the charts, but rather have put in the time to get familiar with the chords, how to finger them, and how to transition between the common ones. And if things are outside of that comfort zone, then it can still make you look amateurish even if you're pretty good.

 

 

I'll also probably give the Lynyrd Skynyrd a shot on guitar, too. Obviously I'll do so on bass.

 

 

Edit: @@Angelina27 - If there is no DD on the song, every level of score attack has all of the notes, and so they're all eligible for submission here. The only difference is how many mistakes you have to make to be given a strike (and I guess also your score attack score). So last week on Comfortably Numb I did score attack on easy as the main lead arrangement was NDD and I felt like I'd almost certainly strike out during one of the short solo sections if I tried on hard.

@@albatross213 Thanks so much for the quick response! I got it... if a song has no Dynamic Difficulty then it is advantages, and acceptable to post a score from easy mode.

Beginner Lead - 98.94%, 219 streak

That solo may seem not that complicated, but it has many bends, fortunately it's short.

 

Intermediate Lead - 94.14%, 161 streak

I got crossed at last "bends on E3" section. I was hitting them well entire song, but in that part, each one was a miss.

 

Advanced Lead - 73%, 34 streak

This chords sound nice... when played right :P
