Hi. Am running OSX and have been following various tutorials on how to create CDLC content, most of which are either assume you've got the applications already installed, or assume running on PC.

 

I saw a post or 2 on SmithysAnvil from mikewiehle regarding Wwise for OSX, indicating some sort of solution but nothing that made a great deal of sense, mainly pointing in the direction of an SDK..

 

Can Wwise be installed successfully on OSX?  

Care to share details of what worked for you?

I have found that you cannot use it on a mac unless you run bootcamp, and therefore are subjecting your mac to all of those nasty viruses.

 

So, I broke out and old VISTA laptop believe it or not and do my eof and wwise stuff there, and transfer the  p.psarc file to my mac for conversion to a mac friendly m.psarc file.

Useful to know....I won't waste anymore time trying to complete the process on a Mac, though in other places I am hearing sounds that Wwise for Mac is on the way (have progressed through Alpha, into  Beta testing).

 

It doesn't seem available yet, nor do I feel the need to be on the bleedin-edge.
