Is a tie + hammer-on combined possible?

The song I'm working on has a double-stop followed by a hammer-on for one of the two notes.

In the tab, this is notated something like:

3 ~ (3)

0 H 2

where the 3 (a D on the B-string) is left to ring as the 2 (an A on the G-string) is hammered-on.

There was no problem creating that within GuitarPro, but when I imported it into EoF this didn't seem to work properly.  It somehow imported it as a hammer-on to exactly the same pair of notes (i.e., 3 & 0, followed by 3 & 0).  It also said that the first pair of notes is linked to the second pair.

I manually editted the note to the right frets, but it still doesn't work right in the CDLC that I'm creating.

Is this sort of thing possible, or do I just have to work around it by dropping the tied-note on the B-string.

i.e., does it have to change to something like:

3     -

0 H 2

Hope the question makes sense!

You could try authoring it like this:

In this example, both the 0-3 and 2-3 double stops are authored, linknext status is applied to the first one, and a tech note is applied to the gem on the G string on the second double stop to apply hammer on. It ends up exporting to XML like this:

      <notes count="2">
        <note time="2.500" linkNext="0" accent="0" bend="0" fret="2" hammerOn="1" harmonic="0" hopo="1" ignore="0" leftHand="-1" mute="0" palmMute="0" pluck="-1" pullOff="0" slap="-1" slideTo="-1" string="3" sustain="0.000" tremolo="0" harmonicPinch="0" pickDirection="0" rightHand="-1" slideUnpitchTo="-1" tap="0" vibrato="0"/>
        <note time="2.500" linkNext="0" accent="0" bend="0" fret="3" hammerOn="0" harmonic="0" hopo="0" ignore="0" leftHand="-1" mute="0" palmMute="0" pluck="-1" pullOff="0" slap="-1" slideTo="-1" string="4" sustain="0.000" tremolo="0" harmonicPinch="0" pickDirection="0" rightHand="-1" slideUnpitchTo="-1" tap="0" vibrato="0"/>
      </notes>
      <chords count="1">
        <chord time="2.000" linkNext="1" accent="0" chordId="0" fretHandMute="0" highDensity="0" ignore="0" palmMute="0" hopo="0" strum="down">
          <chordNote time="2.000" linkNext="1" accent="0" bend="0" fret="0" hammerOn="0" harmonic="0" hopo="0" ignore="0" leftHand="-1" mute="0" palmMute="0" pluck="-1" pullOff="0" slap="-1" slideTo="-1" string="3" sustain="0.500" tremolo="0" harmonicPinch="0" pickDirection="0" rightHand="-1" slideUnpitchTo="-1" tap="0" vibrato="0"/>
          <chordNote time="2.000" linkNext="1" accent="0" bend="0" fret="3" hammerOn="0" harmonic="0" hopo="0" ignore="0" leftHand="2" mute="0" palmMute="0" pluck="-1" pullOff="0" slap="-1" slideTo="-1" string="4" sustain="0.500" tremolo="0" harmonicPinch="0" pickDirection="0" rightHand="-1" slideUnpitchTo="-1" tap="0" vibrato="0"/>
        </chord>

Thanks - now I've looked at the Tech Notes tutorial, I've found there is a bit discussing double-stops combined with hammer-on/pull-offs.  Looks like I'll have to get to grips with that. :-)

Ok - I've read the tech notes tutorial, and from what I see, this is still not fully implemented.

I tried following what you suggested as the shot of EoF shows:

However, this doesn't look right in Rocksmith 2014: it seems to be missing the hammer-on notehead -

I also tried what's in tech notes tutorial, which is to use the linknext as a tech note on the first double stop:

This looked better - but it didn't detect quite as well as I'd hoped.

I think he needs to link next that greenish 3 fret. shorten open strum, and this would be smth he would like to have, like stop for open note and link next for 3red fret on the first chord with tech view, isn't that you need?

Official chart would mostly looks like that :

You could also add a handshape mark around but it's more about visual effet than real use.

Here in Back to Cali by slash official DLC you can see that they do it almost in the simplistic way which would look like that in EOF

Ok - thanks.  Those last two options look much simpler and easy enough to implement.

I'll go for those then.
