A thread from last November looked promising, but a solution was never found.

 

When I follow the prevailing instructions, RSInjector launches and bails. It doesn't matter if I run it wiith/without Steam or with/without RS running. CDLCs are in the right place, afaik, but don't show up.

 

Is RSI supposed to do anything when it launches? I keep reading "you have to launch RS through RSInjector," but I don't know what that means. I do know that  neither app will accept the other one being dropped on it.

 

So is anyone actually using RS on Mavericks, and if you did, have you ever seen this before?

Problem solved. There are several download links on this and other forums that list exactly the same instructions, but it is important to not get a bogus build of RSInjector. The one linked in the aforementioned thread works*. The three or four that I tried thus far, including one I built from source, will not work. All they do is bounce and exit.
