I just found this site. Like some one else said...its like Christmas! I am a n00bie on here and it all is a bit daunting, so I am sure there are people that will help me. I have a PS3 and RS2014. (I play bass :)) or try. It appears to me that i need to switch PC version for simplicity in the cdlc and there looks like a lot more songs available...here are my questions

1. What is Steam?

2. If i just get a downloadable RS2014 on ebay with a cd key..am i good?

3. does it have to say steam?

4. can i download game and CDLC to a portable hard drive? ( i use a work laptop and could lose at anytime, dont want to lose the game and songs)

thanks in advance, i may have follow up questions.

  1. Steam is a online community. You can buy games and play them through steam. It's like Xbox Live or Playstation network, just for computers.

  2. As long as it says steam key you can use it on steam. Here's a link, https://www.g2a.com/rocksmith-2014-steam-cd-key-global.html?___store=englishus

I'm not sure if you can, but you can back it up on an external hard drive. As long as you have a steam account, you can download the game onto any computer as long as you have access to your account.
