I think that oiled fingertip will be easier to cut by narrow string maybe. When I bend a lot I sometimes can see that there is thing like a trail on finger. Maybe if my fingers will be oiled, skin will be cut not simply pushed inside. I hope you understand what I mean with my ugly English skills...

I don't think I'll be able to play today. I've got a full day at work (including a Friday pub lunch :D) followed by karting later.

There's time for you to catch up @Rodman… ;)

Now that sounds like a good day...

Yeah you really put some numbers up there, hope I find a few minutes somewhere to set things right

@@Nacholede This issue may be not your guitar, but RS cable, bad one. Bcs of i tested with different guitar, but with same pickups EMG. I listen real sounds via di-box (and with out)   and via RS cable. My cable have very bad gain at high frequency, and have some harmonics at high frets with level close to notes, and yet noise gate very fast cut all this notes at high frets, in same time real sounds great with enough long sustain. So i too have not chance to get good recognition at high fret with my cable.

@@TrbInTrbIn @@DevStereo Some of guitarist use lemon oil for fret fingers. More clear sounds at slide, more easy slide, and more easy changing fret position. And no any problem with cutting fingers.

MasterClass Bass - 97%, 308 streak

Obviously I played it much more times. I love that bass, when my chandelier is shaking, haha, oh, so fun.

I was thinking on that posibility too, my RS Cable sometimes is giving me problems (a lot of gain, sometimes i can barely hear my guitar), maybe i have to fix the cable and check again, i think for now i'm out of competition with Ktulu

@@Nacholede if it's a Floyd rose bridge, first of all I feel your pain. Second of all have tried tuning to about + or -20 on each string? If it's the guitar then the intonation might be off. Sometimes too much gain leads to misses too(at least for me anyway)

Many nice scores on all songs :)

Nope, my Les Paul doesn't have a floyd rose bridge, but i agree that i have a lot of gain on my RS Cable, sometimes my guitar doesn't sound very well. The level of my RS Cable is 42, i think is not that bad

@@Nacholede I meant the gain under the audio settings under Rocksmith, I keep mine at and around 5-8 db.

Have you played the guitar through an amp and have any issues with losing sound on the higher frets?

Hi there, probably my first post in the forums, thought I'd give it a shot:

Also, do I have to start at beginner difficulty and work my way up or can I choose which difficulty to play in freely?

I don't have any issues playing with an amp, i lose a little bit of sound when i play on the amp, but nothing else, not a big deal

You can start wherever you want!

But based on that score, it seems like you should/will be in masterclass...  :D

Edit: misread as lead path. Oops.

Oh, oops. I think I misread that as being on lead path, not rhythm. And yeah, The Call of Ktulu is a different beast than what a lot of people are used to.
