So in this song I'm doing "Stay Away" if you can see by the picture when I make it on the green string or any other string it let's me do the slide from 4 to 5 just fine, but in the orange it has these symbols under it that signifies the bend when I actually play it in game and even though I remove bends and clear everything from the note it still shows up when I scroll up to further lengthen the note to show the slide. This has never happened and I'm just curious as to why and if you know a way around it.

The bend notation is given in parentheses, meaning that it is being applied by a "tech note". You can press F4 (or use "Track>Rocksmith>Enable tech view") to see these notes, which can be created when importing Guitar Pro files that define bend notes in certain ways.

Does anyone know how to remove bends because i,m having trouble trying to remove a few bends in EoF and nothing seems to work. Thanks in advance for any answers.

The easiest way would be to select the notes in question and use "Note>Pro Guitar>Remove bend". As noted above though, if you see the bend symbol in parentheses, it is the tech note set that has bends, and you may have to toggle between the normal note set and the tech note set with F4 to delete tech notes applying bend status.

So I Just started getting into charting and I had to make a minor change to a tab on a song and saved it on Guitar pro 7, but EoF does not seem to Recognize GP7 files. Is there a way to fix this?

You'd have to save into an older Guitar Pro format (5 or earlier). Newer Guitar Pro formats are completely different, so I'd have to add thousands of lines of new code and it would be way too much of a headache.

I am new to this whole thing so how do I save it to a older format in a new version?

 

If I have to get an older version, how would I go about doing that because they only one I was able to download was 7

Are there any shortcuts to make notes longer? I'm using a touchpad on my laptop and trying to figure this out is frustrating me. 

If you're not using a mouse/trackpad with a scroll wheel, you can use the [ and ] keys. Help>Keys and the other documentation in the Help menu have lots of other information.
