I have begun playing tunes for Karaoke singing with Rocksmith 2014 (just for friends and family).  I accompany the amateur singer with my bass guitar, along with the original artists.  It has been great fun!

Here is how I have set up for Karaoke.

1. Acer Aspire V15 (Laptop) running Rocksmith 2014.

2. Bass Guitar plugged into Fender Rumble 150 Amplifier.

3. Fender Rumble 150' s FX Affects Loop "Send" (output) connected to Laptop PC with the Rocksmith 2014 USB cable.

4. HDMI cable from Laptop PC to 46" Samsung HDTV.

5. Optical Cable out from Samsung HDTV into Karaoke Amplifier (Acesonic HKR-710).  This provides three microphone inputs, with separate levels for singers and special effects for their voices (delay, repeat, echo, bass and treble), as well as amplifying the sounds of the original recording artists over some BIG speakers.

There are many Official Rocksmith songs and a lot of songs contributed on Customs Forge that are great for Karaoke.  There are a few songs on Customs Forge that are missing the lyrics, but hopefully that will be cured once people realize that many of us want/need the lyrics.

I have been playing around with creating some Karaoke RockSmith Custom DLC's. Got three posted lately. Just do a CDLC search for Karaoke and they will show up. @@UKLooney has made a few also
