I suspect that this place in lead Metallica playing not such as show there, i`m say about index of finger.

I see before similar phrases in teaching video, and there was not  changing fret position. frethand always stay at 4-8, it more hard without practice but seems more right, and allowed use more fast speed in future. I am right?

Getting to the point where I could pass this in SA forced me to step my game up a lot. Now if I could just get a play in where I don't trip up and drop 1-2 entire phrases...

 

Stuck at 90 on Orion. I still need to RR it, but I find myself avoiding it just becuase of how bloody long it is.  :ph34r:

How is everyone getting 99% plus in Rudy Can't Fail on bass?  I just can't get the slides to resister.  Other than sucking, am I doing something else wrong

@@2groggy Im keep in mind this phrases, and played from memories, looking at fretboard, else i have random miss. And there important starting from right fret, and enough shift slide to end fret,  and need enough pressure to string in during slide, speed too have value. Nothing unusual :)

no idea tbh. I'm playing on my jazz bass which normally doesn't entertain slides on RS because of the passive pick-ups being rather quiet but for some reason I am finding the recognition isn't a problem at all. It's the phrases after the "dodedo de do do dodedo dedodo" bit on the A on the first string that I am getting issues with. I can play the hammer ons and little slide from the 7-9th on E fine but it's. Odd misses on the a and d string that's ruining the run for me at the end :(

Those steam links sometimes don't open, hours later it works... sometimes it takes a long time to load and sometimes it is no problem.

That's why I don't like them very much.

That part you posted would actually be a bit easier to play by using the open A string instead of the fifth fret E string but beside that, the issue with the slides could also be that the second slide is missing its note head (probably because of a linknext status on the previous slide) which might influence recognition for some. The slides would probably look better as unpitched slides anyway and that might improve recognition at the same time.

@@2groggy, I just looked back at my play-through and it seems I am doing the same as @ and @@queengeedorah. Memorisation seems key and looking at the fret board... I must have levelled up a skill somewhere, didn't even realise I was doin' it! :D

haven't had the time to play them til now.. my first run on orion was a horrible 81%, i'll play it more now that i have more time and post you better scores :P it sucks when the competition's already started and everyone's already at competing on .00s at 95-96

 

anyway, time to play :D

anyone did the lead part of sitting in my head i don't quite get frethand mutes how do you do it for single notes? just dont press on the fret and pluck? the game is registering my notes for points but I don't want to learn the wrong way I tried searching youtube for frethand mutes and it just shows videos on how to play clean.... anyone have a video close up of the frethand mute technique?

@@pokerbarlo Same as muted chord. there my lesson  :D (shifted position and only one note for more clear see)

@@pokerbarlo Check Lessons in Rocksmith :) There is many cool stuff, which everyone learning guitar should check. There is not many thing that Rocksmith can't teach you. Though RS is not perfect, so you should always listen to what you play.

Tried improve score at a song by The Clash. And a lot fail in SA. SO there result my research why:

tried play in RR with very low speed, and seen that a at a few chord have a lot missed chords. Unpacked cdlc,
