First run today was something, look at streak -  537, and further lost fret position at solo  :)  :

About the 24 fret thing I don't care losing to that. It's the first time I have had this problem. I don't know how often a 20 fret comes into question either.

If it happens more often might be a little annoyed, but this is my first experience in the 80+ weeks of the championship had been.

On Rudy Can't Fail bass, I've been working for days with only the slightest uptick, so here it is - 97.25%

Again forgot to take the screenshot that counts, but video is on the way. In the meantime, here's a screenshot of how I did on the sections:

P.P.S. Watching the video again, it looks like I had 5 misses out of the solo and 2 in it. That's now how I'd expect a run with this few misses to go.

Believe me, when I realized I forgot to take the screenshot, the first thing I did was (while staying in-game) check to make sure I'd ended the video late enough. If not there's an option to save the past x minutes of gameplay and I could have salvaged it that way. But either way, I clearly need more sleep. Or a sticky note on my monitor that has a checklist for things to do after I score attack.

 

Edit: Also, by transpose, do you mean you'll try tuning up your G string and adjusting all the corresponding notes? Can't imagine doing that in ~13 hours with sleep mixed in, but it would probably be foolish for me to think you won't be able to respond in some way.

@@albatross213 Yeah, Itll take me a couple of runs, I also debated a custom tuning in EoF as well.

@ The speed and skips never stop being hard, but the learning got a lot simpler for me when I realised almost all of the arpeggios follow this picking order: 

 

D G B E(/B)

D E G E/B

 

That covers 80% of the song. The only part that really takes sitting down with is "springtime of my life", and even that's only a couple extra hand positions and double stops with that same order.

Played some of The Clash, but never did better than 70% I think.  Only played Sitting inside my head the one time.  Might try to get a better score on Orion tomorrow morning.... feels like a can, but who knows, it`s pretty fast.

That's a good score.  I've played it 30 odd times and still haven't got the 100%.  It's not an easy song.

@@genobadass - you just have to bend everything a lot  :P​. But as @@Mortalo says, most of the time (especially on bass) the specifics of your equipment should have little effect on the outcome. And if it does affect the outcome, in the end it's just internet points. (Also, since there are few other places in the song where you need the G string, you could maybe tune it sharp, BS your way past the tuner using other strings, and then learn how to adjust notes accordingly. By tuning the G string a half step sharp and moving the fast D string run in the second section of the solo the the "G" string you could play everything except the G23s in the final section).

 

Anyway, I'm probably going to do some other stuff for a few hours. I'll continue the assault later tonight.

Oh, I agree. It is just internet points. I'm not even attempting to compete on that song. I was just pointing it out.
