What happens to custom tracks when the become official?

As the title suggests really.

 

What happens to custom/privately made tracks when they become official?

 

Are the original custom tracks removed from the CDLC database and we have to use/purchase the official ones if we don't already have them?

    Ok. Just read the Rules section on the ignition db and part answered my own question. - "no posting of official tracks"

     

    But does that mean a track gets taken down if an official one is created after the custom (?)

    That seems to be the problem with the live version of Knights of Cydonia:

     

    I already have the one of the Muse pack (now with a discount on Steam), but I want that Live version, and I can't find it anywhere.
