I've been trying to open toolkit to get to the editor, but nothing happens even after I "open as admin." I have the MSVBVM50.DLL file and everything. Can anyone help fix this?

I'm not massive on the tech side of things, but I'm sure the question to ask would be, "is there an error message when you try to open it?"

Nope. I'm running Windows 8.1, so the window blinks when I click on the rocksmith toolkit gui, then nothing happens.

It would be worth disabling any AV to see if that works, some AV programs give a false positive so it may be stopping it.

em apart from that I can't really suggest much more, check that Java is installed, I think it uses 32bit version.

Hopefully one of the Devs will give you a bit more to go on.

@@AnotsuSagami and @@Van-Blurten, java is not necessary required, but I'd like to know If any AV is getting us wrongly and removes our files, so test with disabled AV, toolkit requires .NET 4.0, not sure about oldy versions, but you need net framework 4+

please test it and report back, I've never tested it with win 8+
