(This list more or less shows the idea behind Song Selection List. Keep in mind that this is forgotten place)

 

As the topic suggest I will be making and adding to this list songs for each class (beginner, intermediate, Masterclass) but I need all of your help. Please post here and recommend to me which songs should be in what class and I will add them to the list in this post. I will sticky this thread or have it stickied so everyone can see it. This will also link to the spreadsheet where all entrants into the competition may enter in their name and song choice. Please note any songs added to this list must be available on Customsforge.com and they must have RIFF REPEATER, A CUSTOM TONE AND HAVE AT LEAST LEAD AND BASS ARRANGEMENTS or they will not be added to the list. Providing a link to the custom on here is helpful but not required. 

 

Please add your songs of choice for the classes you want to play. The more songs you add the higher the chance that your choice will get picked. Just click here and add your name to the list and the songs you want for each class. Inactive users will be removed from this list to try and keep it tidy and make it a bit easier on myself when choosing song. All songs are chosen randomly by using www.random.org true random number generator tool. 

 

Following is a list of acceptable songs for each difficulty. Feel free to add more songs to this list and please remember they must be available on customsforge.com and have a Lead and Bass arrangement at minimum (rythym is optional) for them to be valid entries. They may also be songs that are already included in Rocksmith 2014 but they cannot not be songs that are for sale by ubisoft as to make it fair for everyone. 

 

This list is a work in progress so if there are not a lot of songs on here give it time as I will be updating them as time permits and as people add songs to this thread.

Rebel rebel from D Bowie sounds good to me as an intermediate (it is an official one)...

But it's from RS1, so you need to buy dlc and we don't want to force nobody to spend money on anything to be able to participate.

 

PS. It works the same with Breaking the Law (such a pitty, as that's one of only 2 lead parts I can get 100%).

Question: If one of your songs is chosen, does that open a spot for another one of your four choices?

When I'm selecting song, every song has a chance to be selected. Though, I'm not allowing more then one song from one participant.

Re-phrase:

So we only can request four songs at a time, if one of those four gets chosen, am i down to three requests or do i still have all four?

Example: My four songs were

Ah, ok :) You can have max 4 songs at any time. If one is selected you should change it. Songs already selected won't be selected again.

Headbanger on Bass is FEAD, my low E is too loose for Rocksmith to recognize, tried it on my guitar with 13's and its iffy

 

Almost needs a 5 string to play, which is saddening

Don't worry, I had changed my selection to ...And Justice for All, as it has quite tough bass, I just didn't made the change, after all I'm selecting songs :)

Got a fun question

American Life by Primus is about 90% bass only, there is little guitar in it at all, and the guitar in it sounds like its more ambiance than anything (except towards the end)

I cannot honestly think of any choices that would be only bass with the new rule(other than Anestiesia) so could that be considered as a Bass only song?

 

If not then I get to have fun deciding what lead would belong to :D

If you wanted to select a song that is guitar only but had a made up bass line to go with it would that fly? Just curious.
