Gangsters

It's tricky with chords but I don't see it too hard.

 

Hurt

Interesting, appreggios and chords. Lot of work here.

 

Hollow

One of this songs, where bass makes it way more funnier. Rhythm gets crazy in the middle, that's why MC, even though it's an 8 on difficulty.

 

Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll

Here is something brilliant. Great song by BOC. Nice solo, ass kicking riff. Nice song, happy to have it here, and I envy all those who can play this on guitar. One day!

 

Pulling Teeth

Four minutes of bass solo, so it's something all MC bassist were dreaming about :lol:

This may be the only go i'll give it. Tough song for sure and some of those notes i dont even understand how he hits them. I played it on NDD Easy because i kept failing on hard, hope thats okay. Good luck to everyone who attempts.

Totally missed out on posting anything last week. Was super busy. But Anesthesia is fun. I know some parts of it. But will have to sit down and learn the rest.

Intermediate Lead, very hard to get notes detected. Random misses everywhere.

But I'm bound to say I have played it only with my western guitar for authentic feeling and nicer sound

MasterClass Bass - 69%, 31 streak

Pretty happy with that score :)

 

MasterClass Rhythm - 85%, 172 streak

Intermediate Bass - 98%, 328 streak

Really fun bass to play, I'll give it more tries. Rhythm was quite tricky, I don't think it's true MC, though. With Pantera's lead part, it's kind of low Advanced, probably Intermediates wouldn't mind playing it.

 

Advanced Rhythm - 95%, 68 streak

I am so thrilled you folks chose this awesome BOC Tune this week. I have found that they have so many complex songs and it makes me smile to see you all enjoying this Cities on Flame With Rock And Roll Chart!!!

i'm not sure if I should post or if there is an area the post questions about song selection, but knowing no better, I will post here.

 

the johnny cash song in identical in both lead and rhythm. it is even stated so in the designers notes.  so shouldn't there be either no lead, no rhythm (as it is in beginner) or another song for one of the paths?

Woooo for Anesthesia at MC Bass!  Can we turn the difficulty ratings up to 11, like Spinal Tap's amps?

 

For the other songs, I've never heard of the Gangsters but sounds like a fun one to try, Blue Oyster Cult I like and really came to appreciate after playing Burnin' For You and Don't Fear the Reaper in Rocksmith -- both really fun basslines -- so I'm looking forward to that, and Pantera is great and I've already got Hollow with several trial plays.

 

So this week I'm definitely back in action, and I'll be doing a cannonball (or possibly a bellyflop with Anesthesia) into the pool instead of sticking in a toe and bitching about the temperature like last week...  :D

@@jbroch I dont know if it is my ears, but the bass line in Cities on Flame about halfway through the song where the first chord comes into play is WAYYYYY out of sync. It was hard to understand what was happening..There are also a couple of extra notes through the whole song as well. Hopefully it can be fixed :D
