Ouch!  I'm having real problems with my fingertips!

 

I've only managed to play Hotel C. once tonight (okay, twice - but the second was just pure pain).  My plucking hand just given up.

 

So I decided to play a couple of songs with a pick, only for my fretting hand to give up.  I used to be able to play for a couple of hours before this finger tip pain cut in, and I know I had an easy week with my rubber strings on the U-bass last week, but still, seriously?  Half an hour on a Tuesday after playing proper steel strings since Saturday is not good.

 

/that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

yeah I have been having the same type of both forearm, fretting hand, picking hand, plucking fingers 

growing tired much to fast but with the song picks this week ( I know one was my pick :O) it seems that I am not the only one I thought that maybe i was getting old.  Most likely just out of practice.

 

I have to give some props to those of you bass players who have gotten 85% or better on this fishbone song.  Frip and Nevered gotta hand it to you guys this week for sure.

Hotel  is getting better I think maybe I should start trying to use this RR to learn phrases properly instead of just playing what I see. Bad Rocksmith habits developing.

For those who think I can't play the bigger badder bass...I've played on it before, Im used to the size...however I cant seem to come close to my mark on this song anymore

Also interesting how frippchen plays it in standard 4/4 while I play the main riff like a swing

My problem is not so much muscular, but just lack of callouses, at the moment, and it's the first time in just over a year of playing that I've felt it in my plucking hand.

 

I'm currently working on a building site and maybe I've been using too much hand moisturiser at work? :D

First decent playthrough after a bit of RR. Man i suck at those bends in the solo!

Possibly found a house. If the application's successful then I'll be afk for a little bit but will still communicate via my phone while I wait for my t'interwebs to be transferred to the new property.

I'm not gonna play MC lead again, so it's time to join the bass family :D

I'll have yet to do a run for the rhythm part, but i took a quick look into it and it seemed quite the challenge

 

AND i also got myself a bass, hahaha

Im totally new to the bass, played some for a few minutes if a friend had one,

but i think my guitar "skills" sort of helps.

 

In my Head QOTSA, 96,065

This was the most difficult one for me, as im good on my left hand but not so much on the right and the repetitive fingering of one

string caused me some little cramps.

Cool song by a cool band, bot kinda boring to play

 

Hotel California, 95,38%

My favourite on the bass. Lots of fun playing this one

 

Party At Ground Zero, 89%

Some parts are cool, some part nots so much in this song.

 

 

Well... my right index and middle fingers got blisters now, so i think i'll take a little break with the bass while i decide in which class i'm going to enter with it.
