Okay, I lied: I kept playing Moneytalks.  :P I agree that Advanced is way too much for it, but I also feel that the solo is challenging enough that 3 seems a bit low. I'd peg it at a 4, myself.

I tried to do Walk This Way in SA, too, but... I can't pass it. ;_; Serious case of too many sections in the solo!

I'm worried about having the time tomorrow to submit any more, and I knew I could solo better, so I did one more go. Not quite enough to beat Joey, but good enough to call it a week! Maybe if I wake up at a decent hour, I'll try to place harder at this and MC. Perhaps even... actually learn the solos!!  :o

Lay Down is just too fast for me ATM. I watched a few you tube clips today to see what i was doing wrong but my brain just won't communicate with my fingers fast enough  :angry:.

@@Gamut Lol, I was talking about Rhythm part :P No way I would allow that solo for Intermediate :lol: I think it's good for Advanced.

 

@@franfit No worry about Lay Down, as you're still in Beginner class for Rhythm path.

It started all so well:

 

Short we vacation, kids sleeping after lunch, gf off with the running shoes for some cardio, me myself feeling a bit ill - what would i do but grab my guitar and go for some moneytalks and lay down scores...

But then after plugging in the guitar when trying to put the usb end to the laptop i recognised that there just was no usb end - damn security plug - half the cable stayed home - sad sad situation :...(

No more scored this week, and next week can only start tomorrow night, damn damn damn

Hi all, looks like a great competition this week, I couldn't stay away. 

 

At the suggestion of @@Rodman I tried out bass this week. I had to. AC/DC Moneytalks, one of my favorite songs ever was in this. (And someone also posted a CDLC of Moonage Daydream) I loved both versions of Moneytalks as well as the and the tutorial video posted. I thought the AC/DC played a little easier on bass than any of the other songs but still was a fun change. I do okay on the lead if you don't count the solo, and love hearing it. ;) Love both versions and cool that they're there. I'm out of the country next week so no streak.

I pretty much sucked with Moneytalks lol.
Lay Down was fun to play, I forgot to download it back then. :)

As soon as the riff is in auto mode this things gets crazy.

And another interesting thing, iam not used to play oficial songs. And with those we have the leadboard with many players.

Ends up motivating be to get better and better,

 

So, this was not my best score but my best acc for now.

Will play one or two times but its hard to beat today,

couldn't get through Lay Down in either rhythm or lead so I guess my rhythm for ashes to ashes will have o be it for me this week. i need faster fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Though transplantations of entire hands have been sucessfully done - you just wont know about the fingerspeed of the donor...

I would say: hands off ;)

As both Moneytalks version are ok, I decided to include both of them (as they differ in difficulty).
 

I liked it a lot. I was just using the emulated bass, but am thinking about buying a real one for Christmas. There are a quite a few songs I've wanted to play the bass part on and just never tried it. Got back today and looking forward to this week. Have a few customs I that were mostly finished and just weren't put out  partially because I didn't want to put out a bad bass line/tone. ;)

A real bass is not that expensive and playing the bass lines with one is at least double the fun than emulated - you even feel the played tones - amazing!

Glad you stick to the CS - you will see - eastertime you will have left beginner class!
