Hi there,

I don't know if it's the right place to ask this.

Lately, I've been playing a lot of tracks on my bass with RS2014, and it turns out I like playing latin songs more and more each time. Thing is, it's not the type of music I usually listen to, and so my knowledge of artists and songs is quite limited.

I've been playing mostly Santana songs, but I wonder if anyone could help me find other tracks to play in the CDLC database - since there is no 'genre' research available, I'm quite stuck here.

I know it has nothing to do with Rocksmith but I'm also a trombone player and I'd love to practice bass (and trombone, but that's something I'll have to do on my own) in such styles - salsa, chacha, etc. - to eventually get into a band that would play this kind of music.

The bass lines in these styles are quite rich, compared to those in rock music (in my opinion), and yet not as difficult to play as funk or disco lines (damn you slap&pop).

Could you guys head me to a few more artists to expand and diverse my playlist?

Cheers!

I don't know much about music but I can give you a couple of Latin bands names. Buena Vista Social Club (old fashion salsa), Cultura Profética (reggae), Enanitos Verde (pop rock)

Thanks I was getting desperate. I'm working on a project right now, I'll try to make CDLCs for bass players, got my hand on a nice book.
