Request: Change when customs are considered "updated"

Featured Replies

I noticed that after I edited the description and difficulty level fields of a CDLC it appeared in the search engine as recently updated and in bold. I think it would be nice to restrict that to only occur when the author puts a different value into the version field.

Unfortunately this would be a very resource-intensive thing to do. At the moment the search DB is ordered by the "last update" date which is set automatically when a CDLC is edited. Checking the version numbers for displaying entries in bold would mean you'd have to have a cookie that listed the version numbers you were shown the last time you were here, which is just not feasible. I'll try and find a better way to do this, but I can't promise anything.

BTW, nice to see a fellow Viennese on here! Seawas!
