What songs so you suggest for practicing barre chords.

Looking for songs with slower chord changes that:

1. move barres around various positions

2. change types of barre shapes (ie Majors to Minors)

3. change between barre and open chords

One good example of what I am looking for is Ride On by AC/DC

The rythm track is not too fast and it covers all 3 of the conditions i listed.

Thanks!

Maybe "Alone Together" By Fallout Boy?

"Wheels" By Foo Fighters is pretty good as well

When I get home from work i'll look through my list and see if anything else comes to mind.

Any preference in type of music?

Black Keys's songs have lots of barre chords in them and fit the criteria you're looking for.

However, if you really want to practice barre chords I would suggest you play some stuff outside of the game.  Rocksmith doesn't do a  very good job at recognizing when barre chords are being played.  You can leave off the high notes (which is the whole point of a barre chord) and RS will still count it as a correct note.

So you get a sort of false-positive result.  You may not be fretting the barre chord correctly, and the high notes may be muted or not be ringing clearly, but RS will still say you hit the note.

Barre chords are a lot easier to understand once you learn the basic shapes and how to move them around the fretboard.  I've linked some documents at the bottom of this post that might help you out.  One is a diagram of various different barre chords, and the other is a sort of lesson from Gibson that shows some basic barre chords forms that can be played in any key and also has a practice lesson that mixes barre and open chords together.

Just a tip, when you play the small box chords (ex. 3-5-5-x-x-x) instead of using 3 fingers, use a barre with index finger across all strings and ring and pinkie fingers (to play 5-5). Just strum the notes you want. It'll help build up finger strength and you'll start to move around the fretboard faster as well, might open up more songs to practice with too.
