Anyway to play songs without tuning?

Featured Replies

Is there anyway to deactivate the tuner entirely as i broke my realtone cable and would just like to learn the songs?

Oh the pain!

There is no way to bypass the tuner.

Digittech Drop or new Whammy pedal simuate tuners wonderfully! You can play chords in lower tunings (while staying in E) with almost zero tracking problems. Doesn't 'digital-ize' it at all. It'll cost a pretty penny- but hey, who are we kidding? Guitar tech stuff is expensive as heck.

You can't.

Drop D tuning (and drop tuning in general) are made by only changing the tuning of some specific strings and not all of them. Pitch effect will always affect all of your strings at once so you can go from E std to Eb std to C std without touching the tuners of your guitar but for going to E std to Drop D or Open D for exemple you will have to tune "manually". But you'll be able to drop from E drop D to D drop C without touching the tuners again.

Thanks Firekorn!

Managed to get from E Standard to Eb Standard if I got this right (for Rise against - Saviour).

But I have to turn to get to the right knob setting in the tuner. It's about -1.5 but I dont know why

and you have to set it very precisely
