All that is needed to organise this site/cdlcs

Featured Replies

Remember the thread on Smithy which had a list with links to ALL songs submitted? If we can have that pinned on the top of the 'RS2k14 CDLCs' thread and updated daily by mods, that'll be all that's needed for now to keep everything organised. It also seems to be the easiest way to keep the CDLCs section organised.

An automated way of doing this would be to have a standard thread naming protocol (such as 'Artist - Song Title') and you can grab the thread name and add it in the list in alphabetical order. I'm sure there's one of us here that has web development experience and can develop a simple add-on that will automate this.

It's in development. Should be up in the next 48 hours.

'99 Fender Stratocaster / '12 Gibson SG (Nothing special but they are mine)

Can't we find some add-on or mod for forum that can update list of the songs by itself? Moderators/admins wont waste their time x)

We can and it's being worked on. It still needs some initial setup ;)

Good news, now noone will complain that "it's too much work for us - admins" ;)

Two things come to mind in regard to keeping songs organized:

1.  If its auto, make sure to overcome the hoomanz.  That way when someone posts Eric Clapton, ERic Clapton, ERIC CLAPTON, "Clapton, Eric", and Aric Clapton, it all gets filed away correctly (and together).

2.  Can you allow sorting by year?  Most users want stuff from certain eras, be it classic rock, metal, or whatever.

Thanks,

When you manage everything with uppercase letters, you wont have this problem ^^Is it 2k14 in english? In german it's more like twenty-fourteen :D

1. I'm not sure about that, but its certainly something that can be looked at

2. It's possible the new download center will allow sorting by year, currently working on that section so we will look at it as we go along.
