@@MaZtoR I play as 1th finger at 5 fret, and press only basis 1-2 string, other - 3-6th string mute of 1 finger.

At 7 fret one 3 finger  for 3 strings.

Next chord same for 5th fret- first finger, only at 6 fret 2th finger, 7fret 3th finger.

@ Is any chance get corrected Ska-p? I try find good tabs and nope, all wrong. Now try fix in transcribe, very slow progress , have not experience.

I don't understand how you can play 3 strings with just one finger without muting the high e. My fingers don't bend like that.

 

But i figured Rocksmith note recognition is not that good. So i can just ignore the 7th fret on the D string.   Its still the same notes but with only 1 A.

Not the best score, but its a lot better than 45%.

It was even easier to ignore the other A note. on the 6th string. But it was a bit more cramp inducing.

Intermediate Rhythm - 87.07%, 54 streak

2 strikes at the 3rd and 2nd bars from end. Phew, that was close. Nonetheless 0.07% improvement :D

You're not alone, after reading your post (which I was going to ask the exact same question) and the answers, I've tried to play it like @@Joey and @ described, but my fingers are very long and "fat", so there's no way to fret the D+G+B without muting the high e.

The only way I managed to get the chord ringing all strings was index on the 5th fret (it doesn't matter if it frets just the high e or the other 3 strings too), ring finger on 7th fret D+G and pinky on 7th fret B, but I take too damn long to fret the chord correctly.

I tried all this without the game, just with the guitar, so later I'm gonna see if I can play the way they described and if the game registers the chords, although muting the high e means I'm not fretting the chord correctly, even if the game registers it, right?

I would guess no.  we better start learning how to make our fingers convex.

@@Kaijin Yet variation to play not 3-th finger at 7 fret,  it 2-th. It little easy, so it finger wiil little under angle and not so muting high E

I've been corrected it and also sychronized. Next step is EOF and then the Toolkit, maybe in 1 or 2 hours, be patient :)

According to Justin and Barred A chords its OK to mute the high e.

I totally agree @@MaZtoR, when I play songs like this, it's a total mess.

Sometimes I wish my fingers weren't so damn long and more thin.... above fret 15 it's difficult to fret any string without the fingertip "occupy" 1 fret and 1/2... I think I'm gonna start "scraping" the extra skin I have on them :lol:

@ Can wait :) Start fully tabbing  bass with "zero", did only 12 measuring, only understood how it work.

Here is a video of me playing the Ska song so you can see how I fret the chords. If you look at my ring finger closely you can see that the 2nd joint flexes off the guitar just a little bit so that the High E string sounds. This is very difficult to do and takes some practice and will cause a lot of pain in the beginning. This wasn't my best attempt at all but i made it just for reference.
