Acoustic Pickup for Rocksmith

I would like to get my acoustic hooked up to rocksmith. 

Has anyone had any experience with the cheap pickups on amazon or ebay uk?

Also is the female female connector that would be required a mono or stereo one?

 

I Don't want to spend a fortune but would like it to work!!
