That's exactly one note missed, same accuracy as yours.  I was a little slow on the slide down there at the end and the following notes  A bit longer streak and longer run at high multiplier explaining the slightly higher score -- but I bet your timing was better than mine throughout so you'll get a higher score once you hit 100.

 

I think Motive will have some company at 100% soon from both of us!

About 5 tries in a row of 99.87 (1 miss) on Obstacle 1 (Adv Bass).  Misses don't come in consistent places, and seem fluky to me.  Got a bit better after tuning about 5-8 cents flat; I think my intonation could be better, especially in Drop D.

 

Then, I put together a great run.  Got to the last few bars of the song still perfect, seconds away from the end...  And then I suddenly popped to the desktop with a window saying "Windows has downloaded updates and needs to restart.  Would you like to restart now or postpone?"  Alt tabbed back, and wasn't fast enough to get hands in position when resuming the song, so bye-bye 100%.

My prob seems to be accuracy related, my rhythm sounds fine when I play it back, almost pleasant, but for some reason, even on the unfiddly bits I get a lot less perfects in SA. I wish you could see in learn a song if you're hitting the note "bang on" or not because in SA it's impossible to correct your rhythm without it f'ing up somewhere down the line... It's ok to get "goods" but I would rather see less "goods" and more perfects.

@@NoonyDeloony Tone in  a song :) Only set mixer for music 94%, Used both pickup (EMG PJ set), tone(guitar) set at max, string 55-110.

Ok cool. My strings on the cirrus are much lighter, my jazz bass would probably sound better for this tune but it needs some tlc with a professional bass doctor :)

I hope you realize you caused me about two hours worth of frustration and a broken string. Otherwise a good score :)

Thought that sleeping on it and coming back might help.  It did, but I still missed one at the end!

 

I hope a 100% on this doesn't become my White Whale...  I can get 99.87% (1 miss) enough that it seems like I *have* to be able to manage the 100% eventually, even if it is just through a lucky run!

 

I keep on trying to slightly adjust my tuning to improve detection, but I still get an occasional miss that I think I hit.  That was driving me nuts yesterday, so I started trying everything to hear better.  I ended up turning down the song volume to 15% and tone switching to something quite hot and bright with some distortion (I used 2 Minutes to Midnight) with my tone knob all the way up to make sure I could hear myself over the song and confirm by ear that I was hitting things right.  The good news is that that seems to have improved my timing on the song, especially for the brief accent bits where it goes double-time to 16th(maybe) triplets instead of straight eighth notes.

 

...Gonna keep on trying even though this is making me neglect the MC song.  That's OK, I like this one better.  :)

Though i think those desperate desperate go for the  100 runs are pretty character forming, and the sucessful run after hours really makes your day :)

Plus me too thinks its really good on the skill.

 

It´s a pitty i dont have the time this week for your awesome bass adv contest, just too much to organise....
