I have rocksmith 2014 for mac and steam account.

 

I really lke a song (3 doors down - kryptonite) - and it's available for original rocksmith as dlc. Every time I am trying to buy it - steam says that i don't own original rocksmith (which is true).

 

Is there any way to resolve this?

Unfortunately not.  It's a known issue with Steam and part of their way of preventing users from buying DLC for games they don't own or can't use.

 

Ubisoft is aware of the problem and is apparently working with Steam to resolve the issue however it's been like this for a long time so who knows if it will ever actually get fixed.
