August 30, 201412 yr If using the nocalbe fix i found it helps to start in single player with just 1 INPUT (LINE-IN) + 1 OUTPUT (Speakers)...Then Enable the 2nd Guitar usually MIC-IN only once on the 2 player setup screen...that way the game doesn't crash... GOOD LUCK... i'm sure it's easier with 2 real RS CABLEs but i've had none around multiple times at mates places...
