August 28, 201411 yr I've heard changing strings on a floyd rose guitar is a pain, maybe that's reason enough to give it the thicker strings?
August 28, 201411 yr I'm very weak and weedy so always use 9s lol. And yes, changing gauge strings or even keeping the same gauge and just changing the brand of strings on a Floyd Rose will mean you'll need to setup the guitar again. It's a pain in the arse lol.
August 28, 201411 yr Author think im gonna go for dunlop heavy core strings not sure which guitar yet, gonna get the music shop to set it up. main reason for changing stings is so that rocksmith recognizes the notes on the low tuned songs like soil, ffdp, in this moment etc
August 29, 201411 yr The SG is a shorter scale guitar, and would benefit from the heavier guage strings more.
