  1. I've been using that for a long time. it makes syncing much easier. especially for singe with bpm changes and accelerations. one thing that may help is : sync to the drums. they make the most impact on the graph, so you can link the bars to the beat, even if there is no note there. my only complaint is the metronome volume is nonadjustable. you can use audacity to lower the song volume so you can hear it. go play along was the best 10 bucks I ever spent. one more thing, go play along won't use a gpx file, so make sure to save as gp5
  2. if you need some extra tracks (sometimes there are GP files with solos on multiple tracks) you can change real bass 22 to a six string guitar as an extra place for temporary note storage. And thank you for not being a douche bag and posting a custom with JUST the solo on the lead chart.
  3. even if you use 9s and tune down to C standard it's not going to hurt the guitar. The strings will be sloppy and nearly unplayable, but nothing is going to break, so you can experiment with no worries. if you think of the guitar as a bow and arrow setup, the tighter the string is the more the bow (or neck) will bend. lighter gauge stings put less tension on the neck, as does lower tunings. the one thing you don't want to do is use a 13/60 set and set It to standard tuning. It probably won't break the guitar, but it will put a lot of stress on the neck.
  4. Holy crap Mr. Pi !!! I thought I was doing good with fairly consistent 92s and a 93 here and there. not to mention I played it 22 times already :) nice job !!! [...bitterly mutters profanity and wanders off]
  5. hey everybody!!! Mind if I join? I used to play on that other site... but... Lets just say I'm not allowed back there for one reason or another. :) Great song choice, Its fun as hell to play. I've been trying to crack 93% for a couple days. I'm looking forward to taking on jump in the fire as well. http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb236/kfd3003/black2.jpg
  6. thanks a lot. sorry I double posted. I forgot I even asked it before. :)
  7. Im confused as how to do this. I can use real guitar and real guitar 22 for a lead and rhythm track, but I need a third for a bonus lead. I suppose I could save one of those in another folder so it doesn't get overwritten... is that the way? or am I missing something.
  8. This has probably been discussed before, my apologies for not doing a thorough search. In EOF, as far as I know, I can only use: Real Guitar and real guitar 22. is it possible to make a third arrangement without messing up the others?
  9. After you get more experience, you'll be able to tell when strings are dead. They will sound dull and lifeless. Ever put on new strings and been like... wow, this feels / sounds so much better!! changing strings every week or two if you play a lot is normal. You can make them live longer with fast fret and good cleaning.
  10. There you are!! I play the crap out of your customs dude, They are so fucking good. Glad to see you here. I didn't wanna post your stuff on here, cuz I didn't make em, and that would be a dick move. but now youre here!!!! YAY!!! Oh yeah. here's the Duel its just the twin lead. no rhythm, no bass and I put the long intro in to provide context for "the Duel" which does get irritating after a while, If you play it in RR you don't have to listen to Tokis plea for the audition. Swissgars part is lead (which is fucking brutally hard) and Tokis is Rhythm. (though its still a lead part... I don't like Bonus leads for some reason) http://www.mediafire.com/download/rdw83dhcakyq6al/duel_p.psarc
  11. Thanks for this, I have a ton of these as well, you had some KD ones that ive never seen that look flawless. Im gonna have to talk to X so we don't end up making the same ones. Ive been looking for one song in particular, I really wanna make it cuz its so fun. I could make the gp tab myself but I don't know if I have the time for something like that. its April Wine - roller may be called high roller. not sure.
  12. you betcha!!! it just takes practice, watch my dumbass lesson, and do these things to warm up. and don't drink so much redbull, its bad for you. [yt]http://youtu.be/WB9uzchJhnM[/yt]
  13. Otis can you upload Bloodlines? I would, but I didn't make it. I don't know if that's violating the rules or not. if I get permission from an admin ill post it here.
  14. I made some of these, there was a dude that made some great ones on the old forum as well. I cant remember his name. He did Bloodlines and Awaken and a few more I think. Of course I should post these in the appropriate section, but Im not gonna. DethKlok - Laser Cannon Deth Sentence (lead, rhythm, bass) http://www.mediafire.com/download/w63cylgy8y81en3/LCDS9_p.psarc DethKlok - Fansong (lead, rhythm, bass) http://www.mediafire.com/download/twdpgss3uvdsrfj/Fansong10_p.psarc DethKlok - The Fans are Chatting (rhythm only) http://www.mediafire.com/download/13yll1373e7aw16/thefansarechatting_p.psarc I also made a twin lead version of the Duel, but I haven't shared it with anyone yet.
