Aye I only used the laptop as it had a built in webcam but the laptop is inferior to my gaming machine so I invested in a new webcam for it, bought some video editing software too though I've not had much time to play about with the shiny effects yet :) . Next one I'll kit myself out in glam rock gear for full effect ;) scruffy piano moving attire is not setting a great style example :)

@@Rodman Well, I have no idea why it was gray (grey color indicates scores done by someone from higher class, so no eligible for winning that class at the end of the week), as you're in Beg Rhythm. Thx! I am surely keeping up the competition - to be honest thats exactly the thing i´ve been waiting for since i bought my guitars in the mid 90´s - without any external motivation besides studies, (extremely) timeconsuming job, gf and now 2 gr8 kids i just coudn´t force myself to constant practice .....

But things change - and sometimes that is even something good .... for me stumbling over this competition is a real highlight in 2k14 and i am highly motivated to compete constantly!

Intermediate Lead - 79%, 42 streak:

Some RR is needed. I never expected this song to be so difficult but it's nice tune and pleasure to play.

 

Intermediate Rhythm - 87%, 87 streak:

Lil improvement. There is one part that simply destroys me, have to practice it.

 

Intermediate Bass - 94.19%, 140 streak

I had better score but didn't took the screen. Frets on my bass are too wide at the start (at least I'm not used to them) which makes me miss a lot at the end (I have hard time reaching with my pinky to 5th fret when playing 2nd fret earlier). Have to practice that.

 

MasteClass Bass - 96.67%, 185 streak

I think that I'm gonna play it a lot. Fun bass line.

I'll probably post my score tonight hoping I can get over 90% (best so far at 88%...) on that lead MC!

I have a hard time getting the melodies and rhythm of this song to transfer into my brain. I think i will have to listen to the song a few times without playing or watching the colors on the screen.

For the blondie song on bass, i shift a lot just of 1 fret to have the ring finger on 5 and to go back with the index on 2 instead of using the pinkie which can be tired quickly.

 

And playing standing is a bit harder but everything you can play standing, you can do it while sitting, the opposite is not always true.

Got my goal of being safe in intermediate this week. But i really don't like to play this song. So i don't think i will give it any more tries.

I didn't thought that I got so good score. I surpirsed myself, as this song is tough. Well, as soon as I RR that weird chord part, I should get above 85%.

 

MasterClass Bass - 97.98%, 227 streak

Today I RR'ed 1st section of the song. That was good playthrough, there were some wrong fret moments, but I'm getting to feel it better.

Regarding standing - I remeber loading screen at Guitar Hero 3, that said that you have to stand to rock. It probably hit my subconsciousness, changing me forever :D
