Specific question on the song request functionality

Hi - hope this is an ok place to post this question...

I have used this site for many years but have never had the desire to request a song until recently.  I had two songs i wanted to request - the first one was good (got it added to what i think is the right place!!).  The second gave me some trouble however...  I was wanting to get the Bass version of a Sloan song called "Losing California".  It is available for guitar, but not for bass.  So i thought - ok, i can just request it for Bass and it should be ok, but the interface gives me an error because it "already exists" (which yes it is out there for guitar but not for Bass).

 

Is there a workaround for this type of scenario or do i just need to give up for that song?  I noticed the old CLDC for that song has comments from the author stating that it doesn't really even work (although i cannot confirm because i don't have a regular guitar).  Not sure if it would be appropriate to "report" the old CDLC to have it removed...
