Hello everybody

So, I played for the last time January 13; and today when I tried, all my CDLCs were deleted / not showing in the game. (And so it appears all my progresses are lost 🥹)

They are in the Dlc files, and the last time I played, everything was Ok. 

 

Is there anything I can do ? Something happened in the last 4 months ?

3 Usual culprits for this happening;

1) You are using a filter or song list within the game, or if you are using CFSM to sort or hide songs.

2) Your Steam Client is not up to-date.

3) Your game library is on another drive than the drive that Steam is on. (meaning that your Steam Client no longer points to the correct library OR you have multiple Steam libraries like a backup)

If you are using RSmods, it is a possibility that this is also causing the issue. Make sure you are using the most current version if you are using RSMods.

There is also a possibility that you have a corrupted file in Rocksmith, using Verify Files should fix that issue. It is a possibility that you have either multiple copies of the D3DX9_42.dll instead of only (the correct) one, or that you are using the incorrect version of the D3DX9_42.dll. I find this unlikely as the game worked 4 months ago.

Thank you so much for your help ! 

 

I verified the 3 usual culprits, I don't think it's that, but I remembered 2 things :

1) I switch to Windows 10 to 11 after the last time I played 

2) In "selected version" , i use " Previous_Version". If I recall correctly, I had an error with an updates and I had to do that to keep playing 

Maybe I have to download again the CDLC-installer ? (Will my progress be lost then? )

Your progress is stored in 2 locations, and they are compared. It is stored in the cloud, via the Steam Client and locally.

If ever the 2 do not match, i.e. because switching between machines, Rocksmith will (should) tell you that the saves do not match and ask if you want to proceed.

If your paths / progress was copied as a blank/erased to the Cloud already, then the data is already over-written. If you have your profile saved locally on another machine, it maybe possible to recover some of that progress from a previous point using that data by using that other PC / laptop / whatever as long as it does not update to the cloud through Steam first.

If it is lost, it is lost. It just gives you the opportunity to play those charts again, and start fresh to get new scores. If it was a continuous day streak in the profile I would be more concerned with that, but being as you have not played in 4 months, you really are not losing anything important. Really truly you are not losing anything by losing progress. It gives you something to work towards.

Getting the game to work, and your CDLC to work properly is far more important than progress.

If you used the Previous Version / (Beta/JustInCaseWeNeedIt version) then you need the .dll for that version. If you are using the current build of Rocksmith then use the current enabler. Neither has anything to do with your progress.

 

If you are still having issues, and can not get your CDLC to work, Please head to the discord server for help. Here in the forums you have about maybe 5 people who answer threads, and I am told better help is often found there.

Wish I could say that it was something that I said that helped, but it was nothing that I did. Glad that you got it working!

Also, Many thanks for reporting back that you did get it working and what you did to get it working, hopefully it helps someone else in the future.

Yes you did ! 

I didn't even remember some keywords ; especially about the Beta Version
But I eventually read that I don't need it anymore . I use to need it because of a previous update that didn't work with the enabler, but now everything is working fine 👍
