Tuning Bass - Rocksmith 2014 Remastered - B Standard Not Recognized

Question

Posted

My question is probably going to sound stupid to most because I don't know much about any of this, I'm only learning. There are a lot of songs I want to play on Bass but I only have a fairly low-end 4 string Ibanez bass. For example, I downloaded Sabaton - Templars and I see it'll be fine with my 6-String because it's E Standard Tuning there. However, I would love to play it on Bass as well. I have a Digitech Drop Pedal that I do use but that's fairly new to me as well. Is there any way, without changing strings and long adjustments that an amateur like myself isn't capable of making, to actually get Rocksmith to recognize that B Standard tuning on my Bass? I've managed to get it to recognize down to C Standard and that's as far as it's worked thus far. If I have to, I can simply play it in C Standard and it's still amusing, I still get the practice, but it drives me a little crazy that it's off and won't register most of what I play. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, like I said, I'm pretty new to this and don't know very much. I'm simply looking to see if there might be a way to do this with what I have. If not, at least I tried.

The dev have put a hard limit in the recognition system below C1 so the B0 on bass will never detect properly without tricking the system to go around that limit.

Which is why CDLC with tuning below C need to use the "low bass tuning fix" which is a trick that has been found to bypass that limit but it doesn't fix the inherent problem the detection system has that low which is the whole reason the dev decided to put that limitation in place.

There are still plenty of CDLC that don't include that fix though which makes tuning and detection entirely impossible for the low notes and those can be reported.

But all of this has nothing to do with the bass hardware/strings. This is just how the software is designed.
