Hey everyone! So, I'm kinda new to charting songs for RS2014, and I ran into an issue with a song having a 5 string bass arrangement. How would I go about charting that for a 4 string? I was told GP5 can do it, but it doesnt seem to transpose the notes, and EOF has a meltdown and deletes notes. I'm hoping someone can help with this! Thanks!

I think there are a couple of options to choose from.

If there are only a few notes on the low B string, you could replace them with the same notes one octave up, and the song will ve playable by a 4-string bass, although not faithful to the original.

If there are no notes on the high G string, or if those are not too uncomfortable to play after moving them down to the D string, then you could just set the tuning to B standard, and eventually people can play with a 4-string bass using a pitch shifter.

so, mostly you would make a 5/ (6) string arrangement instead.  Now currently the bass path only allows 4 strings to be used, but we have a workaround for this.  If you set the path to BONUS rhythm under Arrangment and then in DLCBuilder set the tuning using this guide.  You will have access to all 6 strings in eof this way.image.png

But I think he specifically asked how to make the chart playable with a 4-string bass...
