Since valentine's day is coming this week, I decided to pick songs that could fit that theme!
Hope you all enjoy at least one song and have a great week!

I do have to say, I didn't test all of them as I officially had to bury my pc this monday(you will be missed, pc). But they should be ok. Like always feel free to give your ratings and leave any comments on ignition (where you download the cdlc) if you liked it or any other feedback for those creators.

Heaven- This song was suggested as a beginner song, i found it a bit hard hence the ratings of 4 (intermediate). I tried my best to find an easy one @ Willyam but wasn't able to before the disintegration of my pc. Is there any chance you’ve tried emulated bass? That may be easier to get used to rocksmiths interface as it's usually just single notes. I think you just need to press the tab button while in the tunner page of the bass path.  I did notice you got a decent score last week so grats keep it up!

Taylor Swift this is me trying- I don't really watch american football but the superbowl is this weekend. That means taylor swift will appear alot since she is dating the football player of the chiefs (GO CHIEFS!!!) I just picked this song out of all of her songs so I could make the pun  “This is me trying to”  host  a week without a pc.

Die with a Smile- Has the same chords for a song i never released so i have a soft spot for it/ enjoy it. Good tab as well.

Men I Trust show me how- Love the band. Neat fact about them you can download all their music for free on bandcamp (if you are still collecting mp3s and not using a streaming platform) https://menitrust.bandcamp.com/

This song was one of the first songs I could 100% consistently. Now it's a bit easier because the chords have the sustains which makes it so you can hit the chord pretty late. There's not that many notes like 116 or so but since its has a little more complex chords i'll leave it at 4 for now and as a backup incase you guys think heaven is harder

Magdalena Bay- their music videos are always interesting to watch lol 

Steel panther- gotta have some laughs or cringe..both are good. I didn't test this one recently..i did have it noted in one of my excel sheets from the phone that the notes were not on the grid (so if you convert to gp it'll look weird) but note wise it should be ok?

Brazilian love affair george duke- Just a recommendation by mystic

Helix - I didn't really see any masterclass love songs so I chose a random capo song with a love themed title. Hopefully its ok. Rodman gave it a 7.5 for rhythm so i guess it might be an easier song this week.

Joe bonamasa blues- This song should be a bit easier than freeze pop? It was mostly pentatonics and lots of bends. It does last more than 7 mins so that's why i did it for gog.

@ cacahuate51  Thanks for a nice grouping of songs, made for a great afternoon of playing new songs and finding some new artist.

1 freaking note missed - I shall return before the week is out.

Yeah - was too played out to attempt the Steel Panther - I think it is going to be a serious challenge, despite the stage persona's - Satchel is a no joke player.  Plus, I might have to go to church and get right with the lord afterwards--which is a lot of extra effort.

Thx @ Mikson  and @ aNDESmASAMUNE  and @ nlbsmglsk  and especially @ kayteck  for making it easy for us by spending 100s of coding hours in insane Google sheet scripts and @ avastreg  for spending his time and money to capture all those scores automatically.

That is by far not said often enough. You guys rock!

 

What a week again! Me myself am away on a skiing week with only my ministrat. I managed to do sightreads before leaving - likely my only scores of the week.

Thank you for choosing one of my charts as part of this weeks championship ! Not the easiest one but it's a good choice nonetheless lol. Maybe I'll attempt some of these later this week. I can absolutely get 100% on ''Show Me How'' and ''Secrets'' but I'll have to compete with rocksmith note detection for that.

Also, not sure how to ranking works but ''Secret'' is a very easy song for something supposedly Advanced. I would say ''Show Me How'' and ''secrets'' are equally as difficult so the ranking is not really good for these song. Unless there's insight on the ranking system that I'm missing - I think ''Secrets'' is not rightfully rated. ( thought I'd share my opinion since I vaguely remember last championship (or maybe the one before) you asked for some feedback on the ranking. )

I like this channel for tutorials when I can find them so it is nice this song is so popular

I really like this song - Bruno is such a great talent and Lady Gaga is okay I guess also.  The octave section always jacks me on a note or two.

This one definitely is not timed 100%, but still playable. I think my stabs need to be a little more focused to catch a couple of the bass notes, plus the 3rd section of the solo puts me in the same camp as @ Vodka , I also am --- Too Old, Too Slow - I can play it at 85% to 90%, but after that it is just left-hand flailing.

Ei np! Thanks for suggesting it, and feel free to suggest harder songs as it would be nice to have harder songs in the championship for bass!

I do agree that they are both pretty much the same level since those songs I did test when my pc was alive and got 100% on each. I just gave secrets a bit higher cause it took a me a little bit more tries to go from 99 to 100%.  (but to be fair ive played it less overall) Theres less notes so its easier to get a high score aslong as you are quick enough with the slides or short fills.

Fun fact when I suggested the show me how song 2 years ago(been a minute)  I had rated it a 6. This time that i replayed it i didnt miss a note so it felt a lot easier so thats why i rated it int instead this year.

But yea idm giving secrets a 5 if people agree (and just having an "easier song for advanced this week") . Like ive said I'm open to change ratings, personally enjoy when we give them a lower rating just for more of a challenge. Am curious to know others number rating  (1 to 10) and opinion

Very cool to point out that the last 3 songs are in F#minor. I personally cannot confirm that with you cause I honestly am still lost with names of scales when it comes to guitar so you are doing better than me apparently. If it were on piano i could though (way more simple)
I did check on tunebat and you are right ! ( granted tunebat does sometimes say improper scaleswhen theres lots of chromaticsm or key changes but lets assume so)

  : waste of time, before i forget and die with a smile are all f#minor.

foo fighters- everlong (in before i forget/ gh week) was:  Bm 10a cam
and 
show me how men i trust ( rhythm and bass int this week) is: FMaj 7bcam 

Fun useless trivia (since i spent time sorting gh+rocksmith songs ages ago by "scale " according to tunebat so might not be 100% accurate but close nuff)

The most used scale in the songs was DMaj/Bm 10a camelot with 362 songs

F# minor is the 3rd most used scale in all the songs of rockband, gh and rocksmiths dlc ( 289 songs) . 

least popular scale was F#Major 59 songs...so if the stats are right i guess dont write a song in F#maj write it in minor instead (although some of my favorite songs are on that list so eh take it with a grain of salt lol) 

also very cool youtube video /channel thanks for sharing! great to see yts tutorials are getting more comprehensive used to be a nightmare to learn songs with videos. The diagram helps alot imo.

First results of the week. 

I learned to play acoustic guitar with some portuguese musics, Summer of 69 and Heaven (Bryan Adams), Father and Son (Cat Stevens) and a few others that I don't recall right now 

Really nice groove and some slapping/popping on the masterclass song that I think I'll butcher for some time
