@ Mikson  EI thanks! You are always fun to play against / you keep pushing me to be better.  Grats on second place masterclass rhythm tho! you arent even in that category 😆

Yea definatley agree that if people played more consistantly they could've easily toppled us. In general, everyone that participated (in all categories the last year ) always submitted really good scores so really congrats to everyone!! I'm looking forward for this year to continue that way and new participants joining would be cool too!

I will respond here regarding last week's discussion.

I didn't even pay attention to my position in the masterclass at first, and here I am 2nd in Rytm and 3rd in Lead 😆  But I realize that this is mainly due to the low competition in these classes unfortunately recently, so no matter what score I achieved, I could be e.g. 3rd and get points for the classification. In the earlier days when I started playing in the championships, there were some really strong masterclass players with whom we would have no chance, look for example at week 400, or something around that.

I'm a bit surprised that we now have more competition in the lower classes, because I remember when it was exactly the opposite. And I expected that over time there would be no more beginners, but it's good that they still join!

Have a nice musweek everyone!

The Go-Go's. Rhythm - good for beginners. Lead - seems OK but it sounded very bad in my performance.

From First To Last. Rhythm - looks like nothing very hard here. But all the pmutes are misses. A lot of chords missed too. It might be The Drop is the reason. Ot not.

Lead - I have no any idea how I will play it.

Funeral For A Friend. Terrible. Nothing to say more.

Well. Don't know. I'm fully Intermediate now and I can say It's hard for me. Fast. Complicated. It's beyond me.

There's a strange thing about your class, I thought you were previously listed as intermediate, but when creating the winners list, there was a message about your promotion. What class do you want to be at the moment in Lead?

I’ll move up to intermediate if you do @ Vodka , I’m always looking for your score as the one to beat because I think we are around the same level most of the time 🙂

Scores from testing. Song by song.

The Go-Go's - Unforgiven. A fun song to play on all paths and not too difficult, lead and bass on the border between beginner and intermediate.

From First To Last - I Once Was Lost But Now Am Profound. Here the best for me is the lead path, with nice riffs. Unfortunately there was a problem with chord recognition here, which affected my score.

Funeral For A Friend - This Year's Most Open Heartbreak. A heavier song. I tested the guitar paths some time ago and I don't remember chart well, bass is not overall difficult but contains repetitive fast licks.

I was offered promotion earlier but I rejected it. But the time has come. Intermediate me please.

I'm going to move up. Let's come together... right now... 😉

I'm actually a bad player. I still can't do any things like palm mutes, harmonics and so on. I'm trying everytime, watching lessons and I just can't reproduce them so I do "hands up" fast. I'm dreaming to get a lessons with real teacher but I have no free money. All my money goes to pay a credit 🤣

Seventh Wonder - Fall in Line. I always enjoy playing Seventh Wonder songs, especially from this album or The Great Escape. Almost all of them are very challenging. Very fortunate that all of the songs from these albums have good CDLCs create by albatross before he disappeared from the forum, such a pity...

This was the easiest I found apart from the beginner set, I don't know why even though it was an 8, I think the string skips in the Advanced and intermediate songs are a bit much for my ability.

I was at a gig where FFAF was the warm up band for Iron Maiden here in the UK in Sheffield and for some reason before each this song was about "Orchs"? I'm guessing that a world of warcraft/warhammer thing (I'm going back nearly 2 decades here).
