What do you guys think of my new guitar?

Something about it.... yeah. No I think it's a beautiful guitar even if it's initial design throws me a bit. Solid clean lines, tunomatic bridge, simple controls. Looks like a peach.

Im glad you like it, the 'something special' is the fact that I made it myself. Unfortunately the pickup was faulty and I've had to send it back

Wow, looks great! How much did it cost you to put it together..? You should be able to sell them if you advertised or did a deal with a guitar shop. You can get decals to put on the headstock from eBay as well as engraved neck plates.

All together, plus an EMG 81, maybe £350? I havent really added it all together but around the $300-350 mark. And Seeing as its my first build this is my new main guitar, plus I want something to brag about at University ;D

You may find you need a string tree for the B and high E strings.

TBH, it looks better than the Telecrapster I built a few years back.

I was thinking about string trees, might invest into some in the near future. And thanks! Im really proud of it, finally got some strings today. Just waiting on a return for the pickup

String trees are a necessity with this kind of guitar. There's not enough downward tension to keep the strings in the nut otherwise. But string trees are cheap.

You can buy decal paper and make your own logo - I've done it. In fact, I have a couple left over from my own Stratobastard build (same concept -- Tele body with a Strat headstock) if you'd like. They're easy to apply.

Thanks for the advice, the pickup should arrive by the end of this week/next week, so Ill order some string trees before then.

As much as I love free stuff I like the unfinished look it has. For me decals and paint would make it looks worse (just my taste!)

Yeah that is definitely an unmistakably homemade guitar. I've made a couple myself, lol.

The wood screws in the front there are a particularly distinctive touch. :p
