Does it just flash up or is it actually stopping you from playing your instrument? Sometimes if I've been tabbing regularly in and out of Rocksmith it'll happen so I restart, unplug, replug when that happens. It's a pain but it will usually give me another couple of hours playtime without the "device unplugged" message popping up. Otherwise, it's usually my active pickups need the batteries recharging. If it's something else causing it, sorry to say, I have no remedy.

I had problems with the cable disconnecting at one point, then I noticed the cable is comprised of two parts and the connection between the parts was loose. The parts come apart shortly after the usb plug, make sure the connection is tight.

Only time i've had it is if i've switched to a different application (i use excel at same time as rocksmith, so flick between the two), that error comes up when i switch back to RS. All I can think of is maybe theres a dodgy connection the cable so it thinks you're unplugged.
