Game crashes with CDLC after Steam updated Rocksmith 2014 today. S.O.S HELP!!!!!!

GianRobles

Question

Steam had an update today for Rocksmith 2014, which began as I launched the app. I played last night, no problem. I noticed that the newest file in my dlc directory folder is "rs1compatibilitydlc_p.psarc", updated today. I tried playing offline, i tried deleting this specific file and launching without it and my game still crashes.  If anyone has any insight, please help. Additionally, I started getting an Ubisoft message bubble on the main menu with some pretty old messages and news.

Me too, it works vanilla with no DLC and no .dll file ( the famous D3DX9_42.dll )

Then tried with the DLC in without the DLL the game starts ( songs won't play ofc )

As soon as I copied over the .DLL in the folder the game won't start.

We'll need help for a new dll or check what Ubisoft changed..

All right. Can confirm that the vanilla version runs flawless. Same.

Have you treid just running the RSMods.exe and checked the output ?

This is what I get as a response which would actucally eplain the issue with mod support:

I also checked the windwos event viewer:

Seems like the process cannot find the .dll anymore.
