HI

I have noticed that some cdlc have poor sound quality compared to others. Is there ways to make them better??

Audio volume can be easily fixed with cfsm, audio quality on the other hand...

You can fix it but it's really not worth it imo. If the audio is low quality chances are the chart isn't too great either and the effort to fix it could just be spent making an even better version since you need all the chart making tools anyway.

If you really want to though.

Unpack the song with the toolkit (also need wwise for audio conversion) use the import menu and the files in the folder that generates, replace the old .ogg file in the audio subfolder, import the xml files into eof, select the audio file for it to use, resync the start offset (by dragging the first beat marker), add leading silence so the notes start at 10 seconds (song/leading silence, put the time to add and use the re-encode option), re-add the sections since eof doesn't import them (click the beat you want to add them on and press shift+S and select what type you want to add), save it (make sure "save separate rocksmith 2 files" is ticked in the import/export menu), relaunch the toolkit, add the newly generated xml files from the eof project (part_real_guitar/bass ect), select the new audio file, get the album art from the EOF subfolder of the extracted song folder, build it and you should be done.

If the "higher quality" audio is a re-recording or from a different album or and not just a better album rip of the exact same version you may also have to resync the whole thing, at which point I'd just give up re-chart it.

Also DLC Builder is the new standard instead of rstoolkit but it adds a wwise conversion at the start for this kinda thing. It's mostly the same process afterwards so use that instead if you want. Especially if you plan on getting into cdlc creation later since it comes with some extra features the toolkit lacks.
