EOF issues adding rocksmith sections

carlskeen68

Question

Hi,

I am trying to create some Rocksmith DLC to practice scales. I am pretty new to this process. So I did the following steps

  1. installed all the software (WWISE, EOF, RST)
  2. Created the tab in Guitar Pro 7
  3. Exported the tab to audio file (OGG)
  4. Exported the tab to GP5 format
  5. Created a new EOF project based on the OGG file
  6. Selected the REAL_GUITAR_PART
  7. Imported the GP5 file to give the notes
  8. Played it through, seems synced up

At this point I tried to add Rocksmith sections, so I selected the first note and then hit shift-s to bring up the section popup, and added in the "Intro" section

I think moved further down the track and selected the start of the next section, hit shift-s again and added pre-verse

I noticed that instead of adding a section it changed the everything to be pre-verse. I have tried doing this again, and sometimes I can see two sections, but mostly I am getting just a single one. What am I doing wrong? or do I need to set something else before this will work correctly?

regards Carl

Sections aren't added on notes but on the beats (The arrows at the top), so if you click on a note to add a new section it will get added at the last selected beat instead and overwrite the old one which is probably what caused the intro changed to a pre-chorus.

So if you want to add a section to a note just click the beat above that note instead and then add the section like normal.
