DDC Help on Existing CDLC

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

First let me say this is epically awesome. My friends and I are avid guitar freaks we all suck of course but its a fun thing to do on a Sat night while drinking and hanging out. We are just getting into customs on Rocksmith 2014 and for most of us the average song is a bit to advanced.

I downloaded a bunch of DLC songs and have found a vast majority of them do not contain DDC content.

I downloaded EOF as well as the Custom toolkit version 2.6.0.0 in an attempt to create DDC for the existing songs.

I clicked the DDC tab in custom toolkit loaded the song switched phrase length to 4 and kept the song on ddc_default but no matter what i do i keep erroring out while creating the DDC. Forgive my ignorance but is there something i am doing wrong or is this feature not working properly.

I have done searching on both smityanvil as well as this site but am not finding an answer or not looking in the proper place to my solution on how to create DDC content on existing songs properly with these tools.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Appears to be an issue with Windows 8.1 I just tested this on my Windows 7 PC here at work (hope i dont get fired) and it appears to work perfectly most likley its a permissions issue writing to my folders please forgive my ignorance and ROCK ON!

Hi R3P01,

I am using all tools under Windows 8.1 without any problem ...

DDC is included in the Toolkit as a separate ".exe" file, you may have an antivirus software which does not allow its execution.

If you are using Avast, you can define an exception for "ddc.exe" which is located under "<Toolkit folder>ddcddc.exe"

Hope that helps ...

I think my permissions are all messed up in 8.1 Because I have a SSD I move my profile to my standard platter drive using junction links and unfortunately the update from 8 to 8.1 seems to have messed up a lot of things on my PC. I can create the DDC here at work which is fine for now the only issue i am having is the fact that when I create the DDC from existing CDLC here on the site sometimes it is locked at 75% others 55% sometimes 100% I can manually drop it down to 0% but i ma unable to reset all songs to 0% just to get everything setup properly and begin playing without having to do it individually for every song.

Also for some odd reason the toolkit errors out when trying to convert from PC to PS3, no idea what that is about.

These are songs that no DD existed for so i created it. But sometimes when the song is played for the first time it will set itself up at 75% difficulty instead of 0% the first time.

Example is Lion - Transformers theme song from the 1986 movie, I made DD for it and it defaulted to 100% right out of the gate after I loaded it into Rocksmith 2014 instead of to 0%

It depends on your RS profile. More your skill raises up and more the first level of difficulty is high.

If the song does not have many levels of difficulty it can explain why you have to start at this level.

Some CDLCs are not well sync (notes and rhythm) so DDC can generate to many notes by level.

You can manually raise down the starting level of a song with the Riff Repeater.
