Off topic.

Intermediate songs are The Arctic Monkeys. I know that we have played other AM songs but I never really knew much about them. Yes I'm old! I noticed in the video for this week's song that they play fender guitars, yay out comes the strat. I guessed that they are from the UK, and here's why I'm posting. My favorite  beer Newcastle is from the UK or it was. Then it was brewed in Holland and now in the US.

I won't be playing tonight as I have to compare and contrast Old Newcastle vs New Newcastle.

Some of the posts from previous page were not added to the leaderboard and they change the results of the last week.

Beginner lead victory goes to @@Cymbrogi and intermediate rhythm goes to @@ZeroPingNZ! Congratulations and sorries to all involved!

I used to drink Newcastle Brown back in my university days (I won't tell you what millennium or even decade that was), but now I find it much too sweet for my current tastes.

A friend of mine is upgrading his guitar and wants to sell his Schecter Custom Solo 6 for $300. I got to play it for an hour with some random Rockmsith songs (don't have a proper guitar amp and I can't play without anyway... sigh) and quite like it. Would you buy it? :)

Is it the black 2006 diamond series one or is it the never brownish burst one.

Short answer - yes! Either way you wont regret it.

Schecters have great playability. I own two of those and one is the Schecter 6 Solo Custom Diamond series which i customized to Zombie Girl Custom. It was only 201€ used in really really bad shape together with a amp. Its one of the guitars i like to play most!

Well... i must say that worked out as expected....

Zombie Girl Series

... keep calm and zombify your guitar ...

And i'd love to have one of those newer solo 6s - one of the most beautiful LPs i've ever seen.

After this I riff repeated the scale runner riffs. While I managed to learn those, I somehow managed to do worse overally in the song. pfft.

How unbelievably unfair! The scale runner riff on the rhythm track started from a different position than in the lead!

And just because of Tom Petty's calm voice!

Well...

It's the same guitar! Awesome! Let that baby rock like it has never rocked before!

I struggled with the int lead song last week and just played it on this Schecter - got 93% rather than 82%. There were chords Rocksmith couldn't even register (777) and (445), now it's all good. I guess it's time to sell my ESP and upgrade!

Oh I know what you mean. Had a similar effect when I purchased my Schecter Hellraiser hybrid and played songs with it that I had played before on my Epiphone SG.

Got to love Schecters.

Tremolo picking on a fingered bass. Hah, that caught me off guard during the first pass, but for the second one I was armed with my thumb!
http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week287/bass/b01.png
http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week287/bass/i01.png

Had problems with those quick C5 and D5s at the beginning and then the part with where you play those 10 quick notes on G and D string.
http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week287/bass/a01.png
Took couple of restarts to get past the first problem and I unleashed the power of my thumb at the second hard part :)

Funny playing with such loose strings :D
http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week287/bass/m01.png
http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week287/bass/m02.png

Guess I missed a slide on these extras

http://u.meelo.org/.rocksmith/week287/bass/x02.png

I got to say. I'm loving the harsher grading for these level 2-4 songs. None of them were walks in the park!

I must say I am a bit surprised by the 80 % score for the intermediate bass :o Surely it was easier than the one marked for advanced?

At Arctic Monkeys I got 3 strikes half way through, so I did "learn a song" and that was the result. Iron Maiden was easy to fake, but the rhythm is much harder than I played
